Foster is the worst ref in the NBA, but like always, every single team thinks he is biased against them. I recall GSW fans complaining about how they were 0-3 with him early in the playoffs last year.

CURIOUS!! What if Scott Foster referee the next game and The Rockets refuse to play (BOYCOTT). What would be the repercussions, besides missing game checks and a "L" in the loss ??

Granted... a 40 point massacre can't be blame on officiating alone...
Oops my bad... it dates to 2015?!?

    Western Conference Finals Game 3 - Harden's 3 for 16 brickfest, Warriors 115, Rockets 80

I'd love to see the data morey has.

Conversely, I'd be even more interested in seeing the casino data Tilman likely had access to.

They were 0-3 in road playoff games with him up to that point, 10-2 without him. Among those 3 were game 6 of the 2016 finals (Curry fouls out in the third quarter), and game 4 of the 2017 finals (most free throws a quarter for one team in NBA history).

Now they are 2-3 in road playoff games he officiates, adding game 1 and game 7 of last year's WCF.

This hasn't ever happened in America. However here in Europe it has happened many times, and usually the athletic judge (yes there is a judge only for sports), punishes with many point reductions, heavy fines and no fans allowed in arena for some home games (financial punishment).

Anyway it's not going to happen here.

I have more of problem that Tillman and Daryl didn't say anything last year in the playoffs, about how Scott Foster, Tony Brothers, Ken Maur were rigging games for the and Rockets, Warriors. Even LeBron with the Cavs just to have ratings, boost sales, I enjoyed his Sweep in the Finals, after being swept, He shows off his bandaged hand, which was hilarious, to gain sympathy and taint the Warriors Title.

The saddest part about all of this is seeing the casual fans eating all of this up, and loving the fact that it's happening to Harden and the Rockets. As if the underlying issue isn't an issue at all, and that it's just funny to have a ref that clearly holds personal vendettas against players and teams. They completely ignore the fact that Scott Foster represents an evil and insidious implication about professional sports, and only focus on the lulz. And not to get all preachy or change the topic, but this exact phenomenon among the social media masses CLEARLY correlates to what's happening in our country politically, culturally, socially, and economically. People have become so EASILY manipulated, and it's setting us back at an alarming rate.

Yep. Casual fan takeaway from all this: "James Freakin' Harden thinks he's getting cheated by the refs! LMAO!"

I'm not shocked that the refs are against the Rockets, however that shouldn't be the main issue they need to address because they can't control the refs.

This made me laugh (Feigen recalling old Rockets feud with an official.)

I’m glad he finally said something. It’s been building up foster is a terrible refs or and he is prob paid by someone or something like that.

I’m very happy that Harden expressed his concerns with that referee. It’s disgusting every time he dictates the game by either not calling fouls or calling bs fouls.

Harden is not complaining about calls he shoulda got, he’s complaining about the calls they called him for. I can tell you 3-4 of those calls were bs.

scott foster sucks, but harden was playing like garbage. looked like playoff harden. i'm excited to see this team in the postseason, but i have very low expectations. we aren't that good (at least compared to last year)

What exactly did I assert that you disagreed with?

Are you saying that the Rockets could not have won this game with Foster officiating? That he was dead set on ensuring we didn’t win it?

Or are you making the weaker claim that the Rockets would have won if Foster wasn’t on the officiating crew; that his tendency to make calls against us turned what would have otherwise been a probable win into a loss?

I doubt very much the first claim, or that you have any strong evidence for it. I’m happy to be shown otherwise.

The latter could be true, but even then we need to acknowledge that in the playoffs there will be games where things don’t go our way and we need to still be able to find a way to win. That’s all I was saying. To get where we want to be, we need to be better than we were in the second half.

If the Rockets are losing 19 point leads due to poor shooting nights from multiple players coupled with bad defense and defensive rebounding — that’s a bigger concern for me heading into the playoffs. We have a pattern of blowing big leads this year, and complaining about Foster (to me) feels like an excuse masking that bigger problem.

But by all means, if the Rockets can convince the league to not have Scott Foster officiate their games in the playoffs and they think that can increase their margin for error, great.
