did Harden hold back the rockets from playoff's success? or the other way around?

if harden replaced curry in 15 or KD in 17 aren't GSW still champs nevertheless?

This never gets brought up at all.

This is the first year harden has ever played with a true superstar next to him. (And he didn’t even make the allstar game smh)

Dwight was good his first year here and did make the allstar team but I don’t looks at his impact that year and different than I look at Capela this year. In fact Capela might be better just because he meshes with harden better.

But Dwight couldn’t take pressure off harden at all he needed to be set up. Tbh Chandler Parsons and to a lesser extent jlin helped harden relieve pressure off him more than Dwight.

Cp3 does that and at a very elite level.

Curry has had klay draymond and iggy to relieve pressure off him for 5 years now and he added KD last season.

Lebron has had wade/bosh in Miami for 4 years and Kyrie/love the past 3 years. This season is prob the first year in 7 seasons that Lebron really doesn’t have an elite player to take pressure off him and it’s showing in his and the Cavs play this season.

Kwai has had Aldridge Duncan Parker and Manu and Pau gasol to take pressure off him his whole career all those guys are going to the hall of fame. He also plays for the best coach who wins 50 games with Kwai not even playing so really who knows how much impcat he would have on another team. ( he’s good I’m sure it would still be great)

But harden has been compared to those guys for 6 years now, held to their standards even though he hasn’t played with even half the star talent those guys have.

And harden has still gotten his teams to 50+ wins and HC advantage every year.

Fast forward to having a true allstar next to him and the rockets have the best record in the league. He’s avg 31/9/5 shooting the second highest marks of his career. Manning the best offense off alltime.

No way he had any problems in the playoffs this season, he doesn’t have to do it all anymore. Ppl act like harden hasn’t had many 35+ point games and triple double in the playoffs. He’s had plenty now he can eliminate the bad games because cp is here to help plus the roster is just loaded.

    Fun fact.

Harden and Kwai have won the same amount of playoffs series the past 3 season.

Media would never let you know this though. Only harden has been suspect in the playoffs even though he’s won 3 playoffs series to Kwai 3 playoffs series wins.

Harden is by far the best player in the nba.

Iya really not that hard to understand.

Best numbers best record been top 2 in mvp 2 out of the last 3 years and going to win mvp this season in all likelihood.

Any other player with that resume would not get dissed at all and would be universally thought of as the best guy or atleast top 2. Harden is at best on ppls list the 4th best and ppl still try to make a case for Kwai Ad and the Greek freak.

Davis shouldn’t even be mentioned with the best until he can actual get his team to the playoffs. This is the one sport we’re one guy has a major impact. Davis just doesn’t win and that is a big negative on him. Who cares about his great numbers and defense. Or his high. PER. He doesn’t win at all.

    #2 behind LeBron

Because LeBron can do anything Harden can on offense, and he can be an elite defender if he wants too.

Harden is having the best regular season of anyone in the NBA right now, and barring an extended injury he will win MVP. He leads the NBA in WS and WS/48.

But LeBron is the all time leader in PLAYOFF WS and 3rd all time in PLAYOFF WS/48, only .010 behind MJ at 1st, and .040 ahead of 4th.

He's played more because he has never lost a first round playoff series in his entire career.

Unfortunately as long as Lebron is in the league he'll be behind him at least for the forseeable future
