Clark played 20 minutes in Magic with 10 points,4 rebounds(3 off),1 block 2-4 3pts. But he is not good to play with D'Antoni
Clark is good enough to take Melo’s minutes then not good enough to see the court again after Melo is gone. His success is not shocking as MDA employment —> HOF coach
I went and lurk a magic forum to see what they thought about his performance debut and they love him. I seen some Of him last. Ugh this. Didnt look clueless. Honestly he looked competent and confident on the court . He always looked so down or clueless here. Happy for him. Maybe that’s just a better situation for him.
So we signed & kept an undersized guard even tho we had plenty at his position but waive the 6'8 forward which is a position we have 0 of outside of tucker makes sense smh
It's possible that the Rockets just aren't a fun team to be on anymore. We know EGo has happiness issues! And in general, playing on a team with 2 guys who have uber high usage rates and account for the vast majority of dribbles, ain't fun. Then with GC you factor in his inconsistent playing time. All that adds up to a less than ideal situation for him. Clark going to the Magic and getting some PT will probably be great for him.
There's also a difference between playing on a contender veteran team and freewheeling on a middling young team with nothing to lose.
what's funny is the games he got 20 mins or more this year he had a pretty similar outing here in houston, just like last night bottom line, the rockets cut a guy who is capable of spelling minutes at a position that noone else on the team can fill. it was stupid bc it was for cost saving reasons rather than actual basketball
tbh if capela wasn't hurt at the time of the deadline, I wouldn't have put it pass Tilman to have cut him too. I think IHart got extremely lucky there
He’s not coming back. Dude looked happy: and the magic had good things to say. This was their biggest win of the season and he played a role in that. Him and Gordon played some defense last night. Great defense.
