Will he be better or worse than current JD Martinez?

George Springer athleticism is Elite for a Baseball player, but is still too streaky with the bat. He can go 8 for 11 and then go 1 for 12. Strikeouts will always be there, but he has improve on cutting them down. Having him bat 1 or 2 will help with the strikeouts. His celing is Hunter Pence with moreee HRs. Cortes, Altuve and White are all great hitters and Colby Rasmussen is on his way to a Career Year, maybe All Star.

I think his ceiling is better than Pence, why?
Because he takes more walks, steals more, can be a very good center fielder, and will have same or even better power.

Hunter is an All Star, but i think Springer is better.

Will Springer hit .285? That is the question right now. Maybe Pence will have better average, but other things i believe Springer has higher ceiling.

Justin Upton or maybe Carlos Beltran come to mind. I think that's the type of player we have in Springer.

Yes, Carlos Beltran career numbers is what i expect. Now, Carlos was better defensively.

I figured I would round out the big 3, he's been in a slump this month. .605 OPS since June 5th (a .161 BABIP may have a little something to do with it). Still he's managed to score 17 runs in 22 games.

Currently on pace for 34 HR, 112 Runs, and 98 RBI.

His WAR is a little strange, largely because there are some huge disparities in his defensive value between sites. His pace is as low as 4.5, and as high as 6.5, either one is a great number.

This has obviously been doctored as that's notorious clubhouse cancer Carlos Gomez featured in the video - he's a notorious clubhouse cancer who causes cancer in the clubhouse. Notoriously.

Beltran has been a below avg outfielder for many years now. I think George will be above average for a long time. His instincts are elite and that should translate even as he loses speed.

    Beltran-like offense would be great.

George Springer's ceiling is Andre Dawson.

That's a hall of fame caliber player.

I have a feeling somebody will be perturbed by him leading off... and his lack of ability to steal bases.

I think he's certainly gone a long way to meet expectations from what the Astros had when they drafted him.

Springer is from New Britian, CT.

Not sure of his ethnic decent (parent's background).

But yea Carlos Gomez isn't even black he's hispanic.
