Why is he so slept on? Is he a poor defender? He was a beast on a 1 seed... I can see him being a potential Malcom Brodgon caliber talent in the late 2nd round. If he's at there at 45, you gotta take him....
He's got a nice 3PT shot, solid handles and moves the ball well. My biggest worries for him at the next level would be finishing around the rim against NBA length, and his defense. Overall my guess is he'll end up making the league as a nice backup which is a win with a mid second. I like a lot of potential seconds in this years draft, feel like a good number of them could carve out nice careers. He's someone I'd definitely consider, but wouldn't mind passing on either if others players fall to us.
There's only one reason. He's less than 6 foot tall. Defense? He's a great defender. He may be the best point guard defender in the draft. His game has no holes. He's just short. Personally, I'll be surprised if he's even available in the mid-forties. NBA GM's are too good at the talent game. If he is there for our picks I can't see how we can pass on him. And I'll be severely disappointed if we do. He's a ready-made plug-and-play rotation player.
Definitely. 31st pick traded for 40th and cash(Mason available), 35h pick was traded for a future 2nd (Bolden available), 38th pick was sold for cash (Bell available). We could have easily got in on that action.
That was indeed pretty frustrating, especially when it seemed the market value for those picks was going to be much higher after the 28th pick cost 30 AND 42. I really wanted Bell but would have been real happy with Bolden.
