Every week it's some insane drama with O'Brien.

QB carousel, clock management, getting guys concussed, dumb trick plays, worthless offense, etc

And yes the roster is bad...because he helped build it

It would be just like the Texans to let a rookie tell them how to run a billion dollar franchise. Well, it can't be any worse than anything else they've done till now so may as well.

I still say clean house after this season and stop wasting time. Watson will get over it. This front office and coaching regime imo are not championship caliber which this organization should be seeking. The Astros and Rox are not settling in their organizations so the Texans need to follow suit.

No, it would be just like Rick and Cal to ruin our chances of ever getting to a Super Bowl.

The PSLs and tickets are sold, there's a waiting list, the billion dollar franchise runs itself. None of that impacts whether the team gets to a Super Bowl... and we've seen there are no consequences to the GM or the McNairs for not doing so. They keep cashing checks.

As for "the rookie" he knows a hell of a lot more about the game of pro football than you or any other fan or any of the whiney azz attention-seeking media or our GM and CalBob McNair.

I don't think there's anything set up where the medical staff watches the play that injured the player. There should be and probably will be after this, but I don't think that's part of current protocol. And concussion symptoms can be delayed and not be apparent immediately after the injury. Other players have passed concussion protocol initially only to fail it when being re-evaluated.

I think changes will be made to the NFL concussion protocol because of this. Medical staff will have to view actual video of the suspected concussion. The spotter may be able to relay more information about what they saw. And there might be a minimum amount of time a player with a suspected concussion has to be held out before returning to make sure delayed symptoms don't appear.

BOB is not the type to throw his players under the bus. That’s the reason he says it’s on him every week. But I’m sure behind closed doors, he goes after those players.

No, he says it "is on me" because he doesn't want any follow up questions. It has nothing to do with him taking accountability. As long as he prefaces his responses with "it is on me" then there really isn't any length dialogue. It is a cop out.

    100% azz-backwards.

Kubiak did same, so he sucked too? Except he won a ring after getting a better GM.

Every coach who has the respect of his players looks in the mirror. If you're public shaming the players, you're a loser who is on his way out of the league. There's a way it is done correctly.

Not really. Deandre was vocal about Savage last year, etc. Players will always come out and show support.

It comes down to are the Texans going to give Bob a long term deal? Will Bob take a 2-3 year deal?

    Exactly.

He wanted to come here and be coached by O'Brien. (No, Jerome Soloman, it wasn't for the nice weather).

Pull the rug out from under your franchise QB at your own risk -- ask Derek Carr how that works out.
