Fat Arian Foster seems into it but I'm not that thrilled.

Harbaugh inherited the foundation of a world-class defense. Granted he got the results on paper, but the paint-by-numbers schematic was set up before he got there.

The real question is what kind of QB coach is Harbaugh? Is he the kind of guy who produces Andrew Lucks (long-term growth) or the kind of guy who produces Colin Kaepernicks (maximizes short term result at the cost of their development)?

I hope they actually interview several candidates. Pre-determining who the new coach would be is how they ended up with O'Brien.

Expected him to be an OC not a HC right away

Started getting my hopes up that maybe O’Brien’s job really is in jeopardy given the silence from ownership since Saturday’s loss, but then I did a little research and saw that they waited until 2 weeks after the 2017-2018 regular season finale to announce that not only was he staying but that they were extending his contract for another four years...

I mean.... there are objectively at least six better coaches in the postseason alone. And a seventh (Reich) just thoroughly outcoached BOB.

I would trade BOB for Belichick, Payton, Reid, Carroll, Harbaugh & Pederson, no questions asked. Now that he's in Tampa, I think Arians goes on the list just below that top tier as a definite. His track record is impressive.

Next, you have Tomlin, Quinn & Rivera, who have all been to and/or won a Super Bowl. I don't know if they're *clearly* better head coaches than BOB - but they've certainly been more successful head coaches.

You don't want recency bias to cloud your judgement - but Reich just thoroughly outcoached him twice in the last month. He scares the ever-loving **** out of me moving forward and I think I'd make that deal. Same with McVay, and Baby Shanahan would not be far behind - both seem like smart, progressive coaches who are ahead of the curve.

Jury is out on Nagy and Lynn - but, I mean... BOB is *clearly* better?.... I don't think so. And I'm not sure he's better than Vrabel or Zimmer, either.

That's 17 coaches who are better/not worse than BOB. That's where we are. On any given Sunday, the Texans are unlikely to have a coaching advantage.

I wish that was the kind of guy we had. An up-and-coming innovator with some imagination would be such a dream scenario. You know, like the exact opposite of BOB....

Haven't really participated in this thread since before the Philly game because - let's face it - there is a 100% chance that BOB is back next year with no significant changes.

So really, this thread should be locked until we inevitably miss the playoffs next season (hello....1st place schedule). Let's all regroup then, shall we?

So far only team in playoffs to score only a measly 7 points courtesy of Offensive Guru BoB.

Other organizations say that in the league to keep the Texans behind. They know the Texans would believe this bs.
