I wouldn't expect any of our QBs to be "lighting it up" against a pretty solid defense the season prior that already knows what you're trying to do, because... well they're your own team.

IMO practice should definitely be a tug of war struggle between offense and defense. If either one was (again) "lighting it up" against the other, well that phase of the squad should be worried about what's to come when they start facing the true competition on Sunday afternoons.

I'll be more direct. The QBs have mostly been poor.

I remember that EXACT play and that was the moment that I started getting much higher on Watson. I was under the impression that was something he'd struggle with given that he struggled with it in college from time to time. Seeing him make accurate reads like that was just awesome.

That said, it's still preseason and it was backup guys running a very vanilla preseason defense but it was still very encouraging.

He's doing things it takes QBs a couple of years or a year to actually learn; he's ahead of the curve

The read and completion comes at the 5:50 mark in the second quarter. It was a corner blitz from the left side and the safety was sneaking(took 2 small steps) towards the receiver right at the snap.

Edit: At the 5:21 mark 2nd qtr, he pre snap reads a lb blitz as well and switches Foreman from his left to his right to pick it up.

Who would the list be? Do we count Brock? Some say he was basically a rookie others say 4th year. Savage. Did he coach Mallet in his rookie year? Or is that another Brock type situation? Any good college QBs? I know Hackenberg is awful but wasn't his rookie year good? Or are we not counting college?

Watson would be the best on that list if he started throwing with his feet.
