It says through Week 6, so that's their rankings for the season.

At least that's how I read it?

Fun Fact: inside the 10 yard line, Deshaun Watson is 9/11 9 touchdowns and 0 interceptions

If he didn't have such an inaccurate, weak arm, he would be 11/11 with 10 touchdowns and -3 interceptions.

Is any head coach going to berrate his starting QB when he knows he is being mic'd up? Call me a cynic but parts of that sounded contrived.

Probably because Mahomes hasn't played yet

I don't think OB held back in Hard Knocks, and I don't think he would have thought this was any different. The Texans still get to approve of whatever gets broadcasted.

The old "low wonderlic score" trick gets them every time.

Okay? further proof that he doesn't give a damn about the mic despite how it may be construed. He doesn't sign off on the broadcast, the Texans organization does.

It's more of a threshold thing. As long as you are above a certain score your brain is capable of understanding defenses. It's not exactly rocket science. Having a high wonderlic score means nothing.

It's similar to a player's performance in the D league. You can absolutely destroy the D league and it won't mean that you'll do well in the NBA, but if you absolutely suck in the D league.....well that's concerning.

As far as I know, there's been no correlation between wonderlic scores and throwing velocity and being a successful QB. It's good info to have for scouts I guess but they need to interpret it correctly

To me it was just a case of over-evaluation of a player. They had seen all that they needed to see and yet, somehow, not enough.
