"He likes honey on his steak. (Take that, Mahomes.)

    About that steak.

It's true that Watson douses his in a layer of honey. Before you gag and question why an elite NFL quarterback cannot just savor a steak's natural juices, hear him out. He, too, thought this combination sounded vile at first. At Clemson, the night before a game at Florida State, Watson joined the defensive linemen for New York strip steak, saw them pouring honey on theirs and asked what in the heck they were doing.

Future Raiders first-round pick Clelin Ferrell—"a country boy," as Watson calls him—explained to Watson that this was a hidden secret, that a tinge of this sweetness makes a steak just right.

He tried it. He was hooked."

Great read and it kind of reinforces the idea that O’Brien isn’t going anywhere.

Yea we stuck with this inconsistent coach. But who knows he might shine beside watson like how mchale shine beside harden. When u have a super talent maybe its best to let him dictate the game plan.

Dude is making excuses now. LOL. BoB has made some moves that have worked. Now, it is all Watson now. Can’t hold Andy Reid up as the shining example anymore? LOL

I wont ask for a Super Bowl victory from him. He already demands that from himself.

What's best for the team is obrien being so inept at building an ol that he has to mortgage two future drafts and the salary cap just so the QB doesn't die.

Most good teams can build an ol much cheaper than that and it ends up being better too

"This play versus this blitz was chess at its finest. New Orleans hadn't run that specific pressure all game, but Watson remembered seeing it twice—twice!—on film from last season. So Watson knew, based on the Saints' even front, that the safety showing blitz to his left was coming in hot, unblocked, and the safety showing blitz to his right was going to bail to deep center. All he needed to do was shimmy toward the right to buy time and, checkmate, he'd hit Stills up the seam for six."

That was a pretty amazing comeback

Putting together two solid road wins in a row will go a long way towards giving me hope... you know, playoff hope. Even then, for the team as a whole - not just DW - start winning and getting close in the playoffs.

With Mahomes out for a while the AFC is wide open. If the Texans are to be taken as serious contenders for the bye week they need to win this game and become the clearcut #2 behind NE.

Texans actually have a top ten offensive line in the league right now, I'd venture to say. So it's hard to say a lot of tea have a better offensive line that what O'Brien has built. Dare I say it, the offensive line has come together masterfully this season. I don't think anyone anticipated it would be as good as it has the last few weeks.

    MVP conversation.

    Exit: Mahomes and Watson
    Enter: Aaron Rodgers.
