Defending freedom of speech is important, but you should know what happened then give a speech.

Sounds to me a stronger incentive to invest in manipulation.

Every political system has checks and balances. The check and balance in China come from competition among political elites, and the need to rally popularity behind their policy agenda.

Chinese are used to all these BS and typically behave very indifferently on political matters. Therefore, when you got even Yao "extremely hot", you know you have a major screw up in your hand

They may be the worst criminals of the world.

Explain how thousands of organs without sources appeared out of nowhere in chinese hospitals at the time that witnesses from canada etc testified taht they came from the Falun Gong?

More like you found a good excuse to just bury your head in the sand.

"Nah Nah Nah" It's anti China propaganda! Lies! We found these organs in the street!

Nope. Having an authoritian regime requries MUCH more manipulation than democracy.
You need to continuously control your own people and brainwash them.

Go read some history if you can't see what is going on around you.

I wish we could combine all of these threads into one big China vs. Morey Tweet debate and discussion thread.

Umm unfortunately China has no freedom of speech. I can call trump a mother fCker and nothing will happen. Try saying that about Xi in China and see what happens.

Not saying anything but Falun Gong members do reject certain or a long list of medicine, so they might die rather quickly. It's in their doctrine.

    They have some cray ideas........

I dun like harvesting organs but the Western world allows it too, you just have to fill out a form...

Falun Gong is a sect so I dunno what else they worship.

China always saw sects as evil so they might not treat them the same way as other people.

This is not just about freedom of speech. This is also about the 4th and 6th amendment. The Chinese government and the communist party is pretty much against most of the core values this country was built and thrived on.

Worst that can happen to you is that you will likely be fired from the job. But in china, pretty sure you are dead or in prison for life. That is the big different.

I think there is too much in common between US and China to totally end their relationship.

    https://www.axios.com/admiration-china-american-democracy-f2d01ede-3add-49ec-839a-684955405781.html

Funny is that a lot of Chinese actually like the US whereas the US doesn't like China that much, or just for money.

    It's unrequited luv really.

This is adorable, colleges in the US cover all these topics, students can openly debate back and forth the pro's and cons. The media too. I know it blows your mind, or your bot coding.

    I'm really confused:

    1. There seems to be an abundant amount of "new" posters that have started to post on this forum after the Morey debacle and most appear to be of Chinese descendant.

    2. For the "new" posters that are Chinese descendants and support your country, what would your government say or how would they react if found out you're posting on a forum that is pro-Houston Rockets?

    3. For the "new" posters that are Chinese descendants that supports their country but happens to be conveniently posting this while living/staying in America or any other non-Communist country, isn't there some level of hypocrisy at play here?

I don't claim to be a smart guy but #2 and #3 really don't make any sense to me.

For the people who have nothing to lose, maybe.

For people who actually have something to lose, they are suckers and dare not call anyone a mother****er. China managed to get her people enough to lose, so they don't bitch about CCP. They just stay indifferent
