I'm going to give it a second try, but this one reminds me of Chris Rock's last special.

LOL Chapelle with the giant troll. A special worthy of the D and D in today's weak-ass cancel culture. Dude is a legend. Well played Dave... well played..

That's like complaining that bands don't write new songs for each stop on their tour.

I liked it. He spared no one. Was like one giant roast of America as currently constructed.

I haven't watched them close enough together to give a direct comparison, but I can say I initially enjoyed 2 out of the other 3 more.

I could go into detail why I didn't enjoy this one as much, but I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't watched.

I'm not hating, I'm glad my opinion seems to be a minority, I love Chappelle and grew up watching him, hands down favorite comedian.

I have to say he has been and still is the best. He takes no prisoners.

    Same here
I saw him do a club and of course we had our cell phones taken for the show. The same jokes showed up on one of the Netflix specials.

For this one , he was hitting on what everyone was thinking and was afraid to say about all these topics
From bourdain to mass shootings etc

I don’t have a problem with the confrontational aspect of this special. Hell I pretty much have the same exact stance on everything he said. I just didn’t get as good a laugh like I did on his past shows. Like someone pointed out I agree he kind of mimicked Rocks approach to comedy with all the political talk but just not as funny. That’s to be expected when Rocks been doing that style since the 80s, but still Chappelle is my favorite comedian alive and I appreciate his attempt at diversifying his skillset. Hopefully he gets back to what put him on the map tho that quick witted, unpredictable, immature comedy

Was it laugh out loud funny? Na. Was it entertaining? Yes
I watched the whole thing and maybe it's because my view points aligned with him. He didn't spare anyone. the alphabet people, women, blacks, whites..he got them all.

36 year old joke was way funnier than the reaction it got.
Not surprising though since there was a lot of older women in the audience and a lot of them were with their date/bf/husband.

I thought it was pretty funny but chapelle’s delivery is what does it for me. He did go after some hot button type jokes so itkinda lacks the timeless quality but geez... they guy is funny.

I liked it but these days it's hard to watch comedy w/o having that little voice that says, man this demographic would get offended and this demographic would get offended. I long for the days where you tell an offensive joke and just go..HAHAHA THAT'S WRONG but life goes on because guess what. It's just a joke. nothing more.

The aziz special touched on the MJ and RKelly stuff so that didn't hit as hard as it should have with me but it was still funny.

Dave is going for more social commentary and I like it. He knows he has an important captive audience, and he’s rich enough to leave anytime.

The way he mentions whites rather than white people has a subtle dehumanizing feel people have been putting on blacks.

That trans eoutine was pretty edgy and direct for him...almost like he and Louis ck wrote it together to see how far they could go with it.

Dave prob gets the most license out of all comedians with offending the most sensitive groups. Rock probably can too but he doesn’t use it as often.
