Its all happening... until we need one game to get in and Gray gets shut down by someone athletic. I love the team. They are like the best players in your neighborhood streetball game, but eventually they always run into true bastball players and get exposed at the worst possible moment. But it would be fun!
They have 4 really good wins on their resume so far. There are lots of other teams "on the bubble" who don't have that. Fingers crossed..beat SMU both times, and I think the Coogs will be dancing. We'll see.
they still play #9 cincy twice in the next couple of weeks. atleast one win against them should be enough?
I forgot that!!! Yeah, that would be 5 really good wins...beat SMU and that's arguably a 6th. They have the exact same record as Wichita State at this point...I know they still have work ahead of them, but I'm optimistic about their chances. And, man, they're fun to watch. They work so hard.
The team has taken a small step forward each year under Sampson, and we're adding some great pieces for next year in time for the new arena. Looks like we might be positioned the right way for consistent success.
