Exactly! And with Kyle Tucker in the big leagues now the murderer’s row lineup just gets deeper. And that’s not even mentioning Gurriel or Gattis.
This. And Bregman is not as good a SS as Correa. ETA: Correa got hurt last year by jamming his thumb into the catcher while sliding into home, and he tried to play through it. That could happen to anybody. That he's going on a rehab assignment?
Potential is certainly there, but Bregman is starting to show that he may be the best out of all of the bunch.
Not surprising given how this has been dragging out. If he plays before the middle of August/September I'll be ecstatic.
"Correa has stopped doing baseball activity, and he continues to receive daily treatment on his lower back at Minute Maid Park, according to Hinch. There was a slimmer of hope that Correa would begin a minor league rehab assignment during the All-Star break, but Hinch said those plans were scrapped because Correa wasn't able to swing a bat." That isn't good.... guess that is why the Jose Abreu rumors have resurfaced.
Makes you wonder if imaging has shown anything. Crap. I know backs are tricky but do they have a clue at all?
I'm sure they do have a clue. They probably know exactly what the problem is. They just not telling us. A 23 year old with back problems is not good.
Whatever it is, it’s taken the Astros off guard. Organization felt a little rest and he would be back.... now it’s going to be a month on no play. No timetable given. Can’t rush a back injury. Only rest and hope it doesn’t return when he is cleared in the next 2-4 weeks.
