Democracy is this country is officially a joke.

I think between corporations, voter laws and other efforts to curb minorities from voting, and the Russians - the system is falling apart.

If you aren't rich you're screwed. America is dead.

Trump is either too stupid to know he's being used and duped or too corrupted to care.

After more than a year of investigations, we're left where we were a year ago.

    Russia made attempts to interfere.
There was no collusion. (don't take my word for it, take the fact that not one bit of evidence has been found after a year and the Strzok texts detailing his personal opinion.)
Russia's actions did not alter the outcome of the election.

The never-trumpers should reimburse the US taxpayer for the money spent on this sham. I wonder what other resistance ops we're going to be treated to over the next 7 years.

Watergate lasted over 2 years from the arrests to his resignation.

Why don’t you just retweet Trump if you want to just parrot his twitter account?

You are just missing the part where you use the death of 17 innocent people to blame the FBI and the investigation. Even you I guess have a shred of decency that our president doesn’t have.

If you want to act for the next week or two that 3 plea deals will never lead back to the Trump campaign in the investigation in the near future and the Russian national social media narrowly focused indictments are the end then go for it. However you guys should be smart enough to realize the reality going on and realize how idiotic these types of posts will look in a few weeks assuming Mueller didn’t give 3 plea deals for nothing.

And yes... we will quote these posts if/when that happens. If you want to potentially look that pathetic then more power to you.

The loyalty to Trump of all people is simply astounding to me. Of all the figures in modern history to attach yourself to and go to social warfare over... Donald F-Ing Trump... I’ll never understand it.

Funny story. Trump for the last year said that the Russia story was a hoax. Now he can't, at least for a couple of weeks.

Russia attacked our country's election process. This is an act of war.

What has Trump done to prevent this happening again? Nothing.

What did Congress do? They added more sanctions, which Trump would not implement.

Trump may not have "colluded" with the Russia before the election; this is an open question. But Trump is acting post-election as if he did.

Except for Flynn, Manafort, Gates, and Papadopoulos indicted or pleading guilty...
    • Mueller charged Flynn with "willfully and knowingly" making "false, fictitious and fraudulent statements" to the FBI regarding conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
    • Manafort is accused of concealing from the United States his work as an agent of the Ukraine, and hiding tens of millions of dollars he received.
    • Gates conspired with Manafort in a multi-million dollar lobbying campaign in the U.S. in favor of the Ukraine government.
    • Papadopoulos allegedly made untruthful claims about a time he met with an unnamed overseas professor with substantial ties to the Russian government.
    Except for 13 Russians indicted...
    • For conspiracy to defraud the United States.
    • Pretty much puts to rest the Denier-in-Chief's "hoax" argument.
Hmm, I wonder if there are more dots to connect coming?

We not only aren't where we were a year ago, we have actual guilty please, indictments, and this thing is still in the middle of being conducted.

Saying that we are still where we were a year ago, is like saying that know nothing about the shooter in the Florida mass murder. It simply is ignoring the fact that he's been arrested, made a confession and there are all sorts of evidence that exists in the case against him.

Just like you would have to ignore things that have actually happened and are in public view to say nothing new has happened in the Florida shooting case, you would have to ignore the many invents that happened in the Russia election meddling investigation.

also, a So Cali man was indicted for selling false identities, as well as opening up bank accounts, to these Ruskies
    ,
you can add Russian-linked lawyer Alex Van Der Zwaan to the list.

he is being indicted for lying about the failure to turn over an email communication to the special counsel's office. He was speaking with investigators about his work with Skadden Arps in 2012 when the firm did work for the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice to prepare a report on the trial of Yulia Tymoshenko.

one can infer that information from Rick Gates, who is rumored to be pleading and willing to corroborate w the Mueller investigation, helped w this most recent indictment. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/20/politics/robert-mueller-rick-gates/index.html

Mueller is squeezing Manafort, combing thru his work for Russian-allied clients; Gates and Van Der Zwaan were party to this lobbying/$ laundering efforts for the Russian/Putin-allies

    a little more context.

VdZ has pleaded guilty to the sole count of making false statements about his communications with former Trump campaign aide Gates. A sentencing date of April 3 has been set. His lawyer requested an expedited schedule, noting that his wife, former debutante Eva Khan, is pregnant.

Her father is German Khan, a Ukrainian-Russian billionaire businessman, who filed a libel suit in October against Fusion GPS, the investigation firm behind a partly unsubstantiated intelligence dossier that alleged Trump's campaign colluded with the Russians.

VdZ worked in the London office of international law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom for a decade. The firm said it fired him last year and has been cooperating with Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible links to the Trump campaign.

VdZ's former employer, Skadden Arps, worked on a report on behalf of the Ukrainian government that critics said sought to justify the false imprisonment of Ukraine's former prime minister, Yulia Tymoshenko.

Manafort / Gates were also working on behalf of Tymoshenko's rivals, including ousted president Yanukovych. According to prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, VdZ leaked the report and talking points from the law firm — which was supposed to be independent in the matter — to Gates.

When VdZ was questioned in November, he claimed that his last communication with Gates was an "innocuous" text message in mid-August 2016, according to court documents. But, according to federal prosecutors, VdZ spoke with both Gates and Person A in September 2016 regarding the Tymoshenko report, surreptitiously recorded encyrpted calls and deleted the email in question.
