    Cowturd:

The very good team beat the dynasty last night. Dynasties win a lot & win big a lot. They're often comfortable. Houston lost the previous game by 41, trailed 12-0, called a timeout. For the next 2 hours, Houston played harder, stronger, angrier, tougher. Houston was the better team for the last 2 hours last night. Even after 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, Houston's still in this thing. Golden State did what they did in the 3rd. Houston's not down 23. They're down 9, down 7. This is what the NY Giants did to 18-0 New England. Dynasties are in rhythm. Golden State is a high performance sports car & the Rockets took them off-roading last night. Question becomes, can Houston do this again? Can they play that hard, that tough, can Tucker get 16 rebounds again? Will Durant get lost? Will Thompson disappear? I doubt it but after that timeout down 12-0, the best team was Houston. They did what you had to do to a dynasty: take them off road & make them uncomfortable. Golden State was out of their comfort zone. 4th quarter, that was a team out of sorts. Not sure they can do it again but best team for 2 hours last night was Houston.

Why did Durant pass up the final shot? If LeBron gave the ball up, would you be blaming Ty Lue or David Blatt or Erik Spoelstra or Mike Brown? Immediately, crickets about Kevin Durant, who had a 6'5 guy on him. Durant didn't make a shot in the final 7 minutes. No shots in the final 3:47. You would be crushing LeBron. Internet is crushing Steve Kerr. Without Steph, the Warriors were awful last night. You know who the most valuable player on this team is, right? We're talking about Steve Kerr. Kevin Durant had a 6'5 guy on him & Klay Thompson, here, you take it! What? It should be the lead story today. If tonight LeBron doesn't score in the final 7 minutes, doesn't take a shot in the final 3:47 and has a 6'5 guy on him and he passes to Kyle Korver, we will destroy LeBron. I won't be able to talk about anything else. This morning, crickets on Kevin Durant. The gap between the best player, LeBron, & 2nd best player, Durant, isn't all about basketball. It's about the expectations & pressures we put on the King.

Durant is a front running cupcake, that's why he didn't take the shot.

Klay took not two...three... or four steps on his last shot.

    He took 5.

    Travel not called.

I guess they aren't used to Golden State being threatened or being D'd up or maybe only they're allowed to be physical? No, Houston is not playing eggball out there.

Gottlieb: Houston grabbed & held and officials swallowed the whistles. They mugged it up & Golden State collapsed.

Draymond does it? "Good, hard nosed, physical defense, the way defense should be played."
    Houston? Dirty, physical team!

I remember that play and felt it was huge. The Rockets had gotten an offensive rebound prior to that shot too and I do not remember if the Rockets ended up scoring after that Ariza rebound (that whole game was a huge blur I need to see it again tonight) but the hustle and intensity of it paid off big. Ariza gets a lot of criticism at times for his poor shooting, but he always delivers when the moments are at their biggest and brightest. (like how he hit that 3 at the buzzer off of that insane Paul pass to give the Rockets the lead back in the 4th)

The attrition the Rockets displayed in this game was remarkable. 40+ minutes for 4 players. 6 1/2 man rotation. That level of high intensity all nite?
To come back from TWO haymaker GSW runs?

I don't know what happens next, but I am going to enjoy this win and performance from this team.

    Proud.

The Bay Area. The bandwagon fans, the team, the management and the Bay Area media are elitists, have self entitlement and an air of hubris. All of them. The media fawns over Kerr's awww shucks schtick. It is shameful.

I forgot Harden almost dropped Curry last night.

If James and CP can keep breaking down the defense like that then the Warriors will be facing elimination after game 5.
