On one hand dan tony should’ve challenged it but on the other why should it cost him a challenge on an egregious **** up by the refs? The refs should’ve just looked at it anyway.

Edit: Now I'm hearing he DID challenge it not once but TWICE and he was denied the challenge both times and later had the gall to say he missed the challenge window. What a bunch of bull ****.

I predict that Harden is going to run of the gas again when the playoffs time comes. I also predict that this head coach is not going to lead this team to a NBA title anytime soon, the owner just made a good decision by not extending his contract.

the only reason he didn't outright fire him is because then he would have had to pay two head coaches this year

Yes, as the owner, you have to think the money all the time. Also I do not think the rockets have a better replacement too.

The fairest thing to do for both teams would be to count the two points and resume play from that point. The worst thing to do is let it go with a "my bad".

Those sound like stats for 2 guys coming off the G League. Hard to stomach.

Unfortunately, that's probably true. I have to hope we never see that kind of combined shooting from them ever again. I have to just hope that with a healthy House and EGO in the lineup Harden and Westbrook will never feel the need to take that many shots again when shooting so poorly. I'm not giving up on them. Heck, I placed my NBA Championship wager on the Rockets while at Binions last night. I gotta believe we will get better.

I thought I packed everything but the kitchen sink coming to Vegas but forgot toothpaste and deodorant. No wonder Tillman is so rich. They charged me $8.93 for a tiny little toothpaste and a deodorant in the Golden Nugget gift shop. For the price of these rooms they should provide them free. I think he can afford some luxury tax money on this team.

OMG, that is so right! It's that kind of thinking that drives me crazy. Sure, it's so much fun to watch when it is working, but hard to stomach when it isn't. Keep believing no adjustments are necessary and you could easily shoot yourself right out of the playoffs.

With MDA it will always be close but no cigar. Thats why he aint getting his extension Harden cant end up the same way as Nash.

How many times have we ran that exact same play at the end of regulation?

I thought the last shot attempt was more egregious then the dunk. The defender jumps right into Hardens space and hits his face on Hardens arm... they tried to call it a offensive foul? GTFO here. Dunno if they're inept or corrupt.. either way it's not a good look.

I'm with you on this. And, many would criticize Morey for this situation,
but I put it SQUARELY on James.

    I believe the following happened:
    1) The CP situation soured at the end of last season
    2) James didn't feel comfortable with CP anymore and wanted him gone
    3) James is best buds with WB and knew that he wanted out of OKC
    4) James pushes to bring in his bud Russ so they can form a Dynamic Duo

Morey, wanting to keep his superstar happy, relents and makes it happen.
We (AND James) are now stuck with the consequences.
NO WAY Morey would have brought in such an inefficient player as Russ based on analytics.
other than to placate the BIG DOG

HYPER speed, but can't shoot and can't even finish on layups very well.
It's hard to make up for so many missed shots and possessions.

James in his own right absolutely has his hands on this. None of which you mentioned sounds out of the realm of possibility. In the end he chose his dancing partner over actual fit, so take all the bad that comes with what he wanted.

honestly, I cringe every time i hear the rockets commercial where harden is saying "i know what we need to do, I know exactly what we need to do"

I see people on here wailing on Morey for making such a bad move.
But it's strictly a move to placate your superstar.

It reminds me of the joke:
Q: Where does an 800lb gorilla sleep?
    A; ANYWHERE HE WANTS TO

This is on James the GM

Got tired legs but we'll be fine.

“Now, we’re even (more) tired, we played a lot of minutes, we lose the game and go to Toronto and that effects a couple games,” D’Antoni said. “We just lost our focus. Why, I don’t know. Just down the stretch we didn’t do anything to win the game.

Asked if tired legs led to the breakdowns in the overtimes, D’Antoni said, “A little bit, but that’s our fault. We should have done it in regulation and gone home and we’d have been fine.”

The Rockets canceled Thursday’s scheduled practice in Toronto.
