They couldn’t get better candidates because of the job uncertainty of the head coach. So basically the Rockets lost better candidates over 4-5 million

 

Harden was fine defensively.

The issue was no interior defense and the other guard spot.

 

Interior defense (and defense in general) is my prime concern on the team. Protecting the paint and rebounding. I am not worried about the offense.

 

I agree. There are some pieces that can be very good defensively but they no longer have Chris Paul and Ariza/Moute holding it together.

Last night Russ shot 46% from the field and 40% from three,he also shot 2 of 6 from the line and was a only a -1 on +/-, considering the missed freebies and 26 minutes of play time this was a pretty good game for Brodie. If he could shoot right at that 44-46% from the field and 35-37% from three for the season the offense would be unstoppable due to being so versatile and this team can absolutely win the chip, I really like what I saw last night. #onemission

 

I support Russ but I absolutely dont care how he does, I want rockets to win championship on merits of Harden alone being great, perhaps the greatest player ever.

 

Exactly this. Paul/Ariza/Moute were plus defenders on the perimeter. Those things add up

 

35-37% from 3 for 1 of the worst 3 point shooters in NBA history is basically asking for a miracle...44% from the field depends on how many bad threes and midrange attempts he’s gonna take
