Not a film about Trump but a Chinese production with an entire cast of Chinese actors and Matt Damon as the hero.

On a side note Zhang Yimou has come a long way from Raise the Red Lantern, my all time favorite mainland China film.

I think it is a Co-production so the title Chinese Cinema is a tad vague.

'raise the red lantern' was well-done, but like 'schindler's list' for spielberg, imo nothing zhang yimou makes can ever match 'to live'

im more concerned with this stereotyping of dragons as bad guys. It's the 21st century people !

Looks pretty stupid. A country of like 10 billion people and of course the white guy has to be the hero. Did Oberyn Martell sign on just to fight the dragons at the Wall?

Matt Damon has always looked like a villain to me. Loved him in The Talented Mr. Ripley and School Ties.

I always wonder how the conversations go when deciding to make a movie like this.

Exec 1: "Yeah, so we have about 3,000 terabytes of left-over CGI of the Great Wall and these really weird looking dragons."
    Exec 2: "Matt Damon..."
    Exec 1: "Yes!"
Exec 2: "...battles dragons at the Great Wall."
    Exec 1: "You magnificent b*stard!"

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon made $231M ($84M overseas); 3 years later the vastly inferior Last Samurai made $456M ($345M overseas).

That's why Matt Damon is in this movie, people around the world know him, like him, and will go see him.

Exactly. I don't like it but Hollywood movies are being made to please the Chinese market and Chinese movies are being made to appeal to the western market.

The end result is a movie that is aimed at and pleases no one. Like Ghostbusters.
