Has there been any talk about moving/postponing Cal game? Can imagine it's very safe to play in that air quality.
http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/10/12/how-will-smoke-affect-raiders-cal-stanford-games-this-weekend/ Could the dangerous smoke levels here in the Bay Area force those games to be altered or even cancelled? As of Thursday morning, no one is ready to suggest those drastic measures, but they are all taking precautions. The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has warned that air quality in the Bay Area could reach troubling levels on Friday and Saturday. Cal, which is scheduled to play Washington State Friday night at Memorial Stadium, has a team of officials checking the forecasted air quality for Berkeley. One Cal athletic department official told BearInsider.com they would “follow all NCAA rules and regulations when it comes to air quality for the game” and immediately alert fans if there are any changes to Friday’s game. “Right now, we are working with our medical team and the Pac-12 to track the air quality every hour to make the best decision for our student-athletes and fans when it comes to hosting the game tomorrow night,” said Geena Serles, an executive at Cal’s ticket office. “As of now, we are planning on playing the game, but if anything changes we will notify everyone with a ticket as soon as possible, probably via email.” Air Quality Index readings in Berkeley reached 187 on Wednesday. Based on the NCAA’s own regulations, if the air quality gets much worse in the Bay Area, there’s a real chance Cal and Stanford could be postponed. From the NCAA’s website: “Specifically, schools should consider removing sensitive athletes from outdoor practice or competition venues at an AQI over 100. At AQIs of over 150, all athletes should be closely monitored. All athletes should be removed from outdoor practice or competition venues at AQIs of 200 or above.”
Texas beats OU, OU beats Texas, either way, nobody gives a **** anymore. Big 12 has been running around with a limpy for a long time.
Clemson loses to Syracuse Washington State losing to California I'm definitely now worried about my Auburn Tigers succumbing to the Friday the 13th cursed weekend in college football
“We’re a bunch of pathetic frontrunners,” Leach said of the Cougars, who came in ranked eighth in the country after starting 6-0 for the first time since 2001. “Our guys just sauntered around on the field like…we’d accomplished something, which is false.” Leach said he thought he and his coaching staff had done a good job of preparing the team for higher expectations after jumping into the Top 10 this past week. “We had all kinds of determined expressions on our faces, said all the right things,” Leach said. “We didn’t get the message delivered and they didn’t receive it. Way too much listening to the noise.” https://www.diehards.com/washington...ike-leach-rips-team-postgame-press-conference
Only have 2 tvs and the frogs are 3rd in line. Gonna have to record this one. I was counting on this game to keep me occupied until the big games start. Stupid weather.
Me too... Good thing is the weather has cleared up. 2pm kick off (estimated) I'm at work so only watching on my phone... otherwise I could use the projector by the tv at home.
