The more I read about the article, the more I agree with the writer. Just like how Harden gets disrespected by the media, they're at least talking about him.

No one is talking about Lillard.

Unfortunately Lillard plays on the West Coast when most people are asleep. He is a superstar the casual fan won’t stay up to watch him or his highlights

Lillard should ask for a trade to the Lakers and he'll get all the attention he needs/deserves ;)

I never understood the hating of fans for their votes.

If anything, this is a direct indicator that the media is doing a terrible job. There are great stories everywhere, but nobody is hearing them.

If I was a sports journalist, I’d be terrified for my salary, because they clearly ARE NOT getting it done.

The media employs wwe methods. They push who they want to push and bury who they want to bury

    Then they’ll eventually crash.

The best stories aren’t chosen, they are made.

Crazy that Steph was voted ahead of Harden by the players!

Lillard is a smug, self-centered punk. It's a popularity contest and Rose won.

Rose is a washed up ass player. I don't get the fascination fans have with him. It's been 8 years since he was a super star....

To be fair, Lillard never was far superstar.

Bad sign that Rose wins any popularity contest after going through a rape trial. Despite being found not guilty, he didn’t exactly come out of the trial looking totally innocent either. Our tendency to forget these types of things is kind of alarming.

Lillard is that guy that b****es about respect, then nobody gives it to him, then he goes emo again.

I legitimately understand why players don't like this dude

All Star ceased having any meaning to me long time ago. I couldn't care less.

Everybody loved how rose got his mvp.
This is his redemption story, the rise to greatness, fighting against brutal injuries, no one believed in him and so on, stuff like that turns casuals fan on.

you really believe that ish. The nba can mess with the numbers, just like the nfl does the top 100 in the nfl. Harden is more popular than curry among players, more and more players are emulating hardens moveset

Harden, Paul and the Rockets players and coaches must have talked about not voting for Damian Lillard or CJ McCollum.
Derrick Rose is respectful and quiet among players.
Damian and CJ are arrogant and players among the league don't respect them.

Look at James Harden players/coaches votes, the most vote getter because he passes at a high rate, getting players easy shots, Got Chris Paul, P.J. Tucker, Austin Rivers, Kenneth Faried when they were Free Agents.

NBA players respect Harden more as a teammate, because other players want comfort to know that he won't blame them in front of media.

LeBron has done that through media in wanting players gone, now Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Ivica Zubac.

Even got Coaches Fired over the years, now Luke Walton. Free Agents wanting to play for LeBron, I think it's difficult to believe 34 yr old can still play elite.
