4/80 or 5/100 gets it done. If I'm Capela I'd take the 4/80 and hit free agency again for another big payday after 4 years.

This thread & Feigen’s tweets give me some level of confidence that Capela won’t take QO. Sounds like they are too close to give up/in.

Player should get what the market decides and Rox should offer not a penny more than they think the player is worth. This player is not the type of player you over spend for. Player is not a marketing bonanza. Player is not a FA magnet. Player is not transcendental. Player is not etc... which is why you can't offer more than actual worth. Simply put, player has no value off the court and would have a low ROI if given anything more than 60/4.

Looking at the client list for BOTH (he apparently has two idiots advising him) of his agents, it's not surprising they are trying to squeeze as much money out of Capela as possible. Those guys are wanting their big payday from this deal.

imo 5/85 was fair enough for CC at this stage of his career. again hopefully he doesn't make the same mistake Noel did. a lot can happen in a years time

5/90... Backloaded... 5th yr is a club option.

I suspect that’s where the Rockets are and Id play the same card.

Taking the QO is such a risk
I understand him betting on himself

You can't offer Capela less than what Anderson is getting to sit the bench. Which is why it maybe worth 2- 1st's to get Ryno off the roster. His contract will make these types of negotiations with Capela more difficult.

If he hits his incentives we’re talking about a difference of about $15m assuming he gets a max offer next year.

Best Capela can get next year:
    QO - $5m
    4/25 max - $100m
    Total 5 years - $105m

    Rockets Offer - $90m/5 years

That’s not how it works. Different market.

Maybe we will see some small dividends from the DMo fiasco. Agents might be scared to cross Morey again and will talk Capela into taking the best offer when it comes.

I keep seeing references to BJ Armstrong... He isn’t Capela’s agent. Am I wrong?

morey should tell him he either takes the 5/85 by 5:45 this evening or the offer drops down to 5/80, and another 5 mill off for each week he hides out all sad in his f'n safe space

He's not lol I think some posters took my misguided joke on the first page as truth. It's two asshats that successfully got Dieng and Stephen Adams crazy money who are his agents.

i'd change "another 5 mill off for each week" to "another 5 mill off for every time CF goes into a meltdown over losing another player to the vet minimum".
