You know he’s not even worth the 85

I mean can’t play with your back to basket

Can’t shoot the 3 ball and definitely can’t play in the important minutes when teams can go hack a capela

Somebody bring this fool back to reality.

Capela needs to stop insulting the money $ at first.

I do not like where the price is going, but in all likelihood, Capela will still be a supremely tradeable commodity going forward. I would lock him up no matter what (but still play hardball), because he would still net something down the road. If he walks after this year, we are done.

$85 to $90 millions is more than a fair offer.

    He's getting bad advice.

He better hope he doesn't end up like DMO or NOEL and many other players that turned down a nice offer and ended up with NUTHIN!!!

$90 millions set you up for life and he can still get another huge contract after the 5 years are up since he will still be under 30.

    What's wrong with him?

While Kevin Durant takes a paycut so that everyone on the warriors is able to get paid AND win championships.

It’s all about the $$$ apparently. Not the chip nowadays.

Why should capela give up money when the superstars are making 40 million each?

Because its only his first big contract and hes not as good as them. They are max players and he is not. He has no offensive game what so ever. Harden and CP3 arent getting 40 million this year. Only 30 for Harden and 35 For Paul. In the future their cap hit is more. They earned their money by being Allstars and MVPs. Capela has not earned 25 million a year. Period. He has only had 1 really good season.

I don't really see this as an issue. Any team that trades for him will do just what we did with Harden - have the ink drying on a max extension when he gets off the plane.

It has to be a team he's willing to play for because he can veto the trade, But as no contending team is going to pay him $25 mil/year, clearly he's ok playing for a crap team if the money's good.

I feel like there's a deal to be made here...

Easy to explain, since Capela is not Chris Paul or James Harden.
He can't create a shot for himself, create a shot for others, nor make a free throw.
He's an athletic big that can defend well, catch in traffic and dunk. That's not a max player.

Than sign a short term deal CC. IMO product of system. Doesn’t show to have low post or mid-range game to warrant 20 or more mil

My point is why would capela take less than he thinks he’s worth when this team doesn’t have that as a foundation from the top.

I don’t think he’s worth more than 15-17 million but he does so go get it

The problem is Capela the fool not deserved 15+ million dollars now.

It makes ZERO sense that a blue collar center aged 22 asks 25 million per season.
You.are not superstar, even not a star player.
