By seasons, if every NBA team had every player in their prime, which teams would be the greatest?

Of all the posts here I think the blazers could be it. Everyone in their prime on that team would kill. Pippen/Sabonis with the other guys would be very interesting.

    2012-13 Lakers

    Nash (MVP ver.)
    Kobe (3-peat ver.)
    Artest (DPOY ver.)
    P. Gasol (2-peat ver.)
    Dwight (NBA finals ver.)

    6th and 7th men
    Antwan Jamison (Wizards ver.)
    Steve Blake (Blazers ver.)

Rest of roster is trash, but Mike of Tony doesn’t go past 7 deep anyway.

Yeah, I totally forgot about Sabonis. His prime wasn't in the NBA. But he was widely regarded as one of the best centers in the world in his prime. He was super athletic, could post up, could shoot 3s, and his most amazing skill was passing from anywhere on the court.

2003-04 Lakers rings a bell. They could have a starting five of:
    PG- Payton
    SG - Kobe
    F: Horrace Grant
F: Malone (child molester and all)
    C: Shaq

Bench: Derek Fisher, Rick Fox, D. George, Kareem Rush, Pargo, Byron Russell...

Facing a prime Glove, Kobe, Shaq, and Malone may be damn near unbeatable IMO. They have enough role players, who, at their prime, make them pretty tough to knock off.

This was the first team that came to mind. Those players in their primes fit extraordinarily well together pre three point madness type basketball.

At one point about 10 years ago, we actually had a squad with:
    - Yao Ming
    - Tracy McGrady
    - Ron Artest
    - Dikembe Mutombo
    - Steve Francis
    - Kyle Lowry
    - Shane Battier
    - Brent Barry
    - Luis Scola
    - Rafer Alston

    And so on...

Now read that list again and imagine everyone in their prime.

    I like our chances.

    - Rajon Rondo
    - Paul Pierce
    - Ray Allen
    - Kevin Garnett
    - Shaquille O'neal

    Just add a prime:
    - Jermaine O'neal
    - Troy Murphy
    - Nate Robinson
    - Glen Davis
    To the mix

    Fun thread OP

How about best Harden team? 14-15 Rockets?

Prime Harden? Prime Dwert? Prime Jet? Prime Linsanity? Prime Josh Smith? Can we even fathom how good a prime Pablo would have been??

Annnnd prime DMO?????? @ DD faints. Championship.

    Linsanity / Bev / Pablo
    Harden / Terry
    Ariza / Garcia
    Smith / Dmo
    Howard / Capela

Add prime coach McHale and commentators Clyde and Bullard into the rotation (that's all legal) and you have undoubtedly the GOAT team.

We never had Lowry and Alston at the same time, but that's fine because his prime was far worse than Lowry and Francis so he wouldn't be playing anyway.

Wouldn't count out the '11-'12 OKC Thunder.

The team that lost to Miami. Imagine if these guys weren't young pups, and in their prime, instead:

    Westbrook
    Harden
    Durant
    Ibaka

Then you have solid players who would also be in their prime, like:

    Fisher
    Sefolosha

good catch on TMac. But would he fit?

Recall, they got beat by this team:

    Lebron
    Wade
    Bosh
    Ray Allen
    Juwon Howard
    Mike Miller
    Rashard Lewis
    Shane Battier
    Haslem (proven playoff defender)

Even without Allen, Miller, Lewis and Battier in their prime, they shot 40% from 3.

'72 Lakers. Best team in history, but all in their prime?
