Trump might be the first POTUS to lose the business world so vividly.

It shouldn't surprise anyone. He was never really a businessman. He's just a shyster from Queens.
Anyone who doubts this should just watch Bloomberg, a real businessman, dismantle him -- the clip's a year old but absolutely sad and prophetic.

I thought people voted this guy in for his business savvy. The markets have been wild since his inauguration.

    Or so publicly.

    A humiliating repudiation.

Kevin Durant won't go to White House to visit Trump

    The NBA champs, Golden State Warriors, have been officially been invited by the Trump administration;
the 2017 NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant said he will not visit with President Donald Trump to celebrate
    the team's 2017 championship.

"Nah, I won't do that," Durant told ESPN. "I don't respect who's in office right now."
"I don't agree with what he agrees with, so my voice is going to be heard by not doing that,"

Durant said he thinks Trump is playing a role in the increased public visibility of white supremacists.

"He's definitely driving it," Durant told ESPN. "I feel ever since he's got into office, or since he ran for the presidency, our country has been so divided and it's not a coincidence."

Durant is not the only NBA star to speak out against Trump.

On Tuesday, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James called out Trump on twitter by saying: "Hate has always existed in America. Yes we know that but Donald Trump just made it fashionable again! Statues has nothing to do with us now!

During the regular season, Golden State's Steve Kerr and San Antonio's Gregg Popovich were among the more vocal coaches in publicly criticizing Trump.

Losing the support of businesses is actually a larger loss than one would think. Trump was running a pretty slick con in cooperation with businesses. Businesses were allowing Trump to claim credit for new jobs in exchange for potentially favorable treatment in the form of new tax cuts or regulatory reforms.

It was a fantastic con. Everyone was falling for his nonsense of claiming that he was bringing jobs back to the US (despite the fact that he had nothing to do with any of them). I suspect that many businesses will be less inclined to play this game now. The benefits are outweighed by the fact that you're stuck being associated with Trump in the process. Plus everyone is finally noticing that Trump seems incapable of actually helping to pass any major legislation and in fact serves as a major impediment.

US military officers join business leaders and Congress in rebuking the Mistake-in-Chief...

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, Marine Gen. Robert Neller, Air Force chief, Gen. David Goldfein, National Guard chief, Air Force Gen. Joseph Lengyel, have all issued statements rebuking Trump. They chose their words carefully, since they are thoughtful men, but their message is clearly a repudiation of our unfit president.

Trump’s generals condemn Charlottesville racism — while trying not to offend the president

Such a dystopian vibe from the the whole administration, all sides.

A comedian, in jimmy fallon, gave more of a presidential statement on Charlottesville than the 'president'
Now the leaders of our armed forces are getting into the politics which is supposed to be a big no no. Good thing they did though someone needed to act like an Adult.

Trump has crossed a line that many a people in America long understood -- you do not support the KKK, the Nazis, and white supremacy. Period.

The worldwide overwhelming condemnation is expected. What is also expected is for BTG, and RL to not understand that there are consequences for crossing that line. Anyone surprised?

GOP Leader in the US Senate, who was on the short list to be
Trumps's VP, questions POTUS's competence and stability

Sen. Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, delivered his harshest criticism of President Trump yet, telling an audience in Chattanooga on Thursday that

Trump has not demonstrated that he understands the character of the nation and
has not shown the competence needed to lead.

"The president has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability, nor some of the competence, that he needs to demonstrate in order for him to be successful — and our nation and our world needs for him to be successful, whether you are Republican or Democrat,” the Tennessee Republican said at a Rotary Club meeting in Chattanooga.

Corker, said he fears the nation will be in peril unless Trump makes radical changes at the White House.

“He also recently has not demonstrated that he understands the character of this nation,” Corker told reporters following his luncheon address. “He has not demonstrated that he understands what has made this nation great and what it is today. And he’s got to demonstrate the characteristics of a president who understands that. Without the things I just mentioned happening, our nation is going to go through great peril.”
