Border Patrol is the bottom rung of the federal law enforcement ladder. It where you go when nobody else in the government will hire you.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to fix that. The work sucks, cartels try to kill you if you won't take bribes, and you end up stationed in some happening metropolis like Eagle Pass.

 

Low standards + large amount of authority gets you shitty humans.
