The goal was always to start raising funds for a presidential bid. O'Rourke knew that once he had to admit to his political views he was done in Texas.....he's wanting to be elected by California, not Texas.
cruz winning in a heavily red state isn't proof of his likability or of him being the "better" candidate... the last Democrat senator was 1993.
The fact that Beto could motivate so many people and make it close with a chance to possibly win speaks loudly about how disliked Cruz is. Texas has been a deep red state for decades. Cruz should have a cakewalk. But the guy is so spineless, such a sniveling coward, and so disliked that Beto is making it close with a slight chance to pull a complete upset. What a pitiful showing by the Cowardly dog, Cruz. The good news is that if Beto wants a coward to come crawling to him later on, all he has to do is insult Cruz' father, and wife, and Cruz will come slinking back to him without in anyway sticking up for his family. Cruz is a pitiful excuse for an American.
It is not and has never been close. You will see come 11/6/18. The only poll that counts starts this Monday. The people of Texas will speak loud and clear. I just came from a Cruz rally in Beaumont and I can promise I have never seen people so fired up. It was the most enthusiastic rally I have been to since the 1988 election.
I can guarantee there will not be another Democrat Senator any time soon. Unlikable candidates do not win elections and Cruz is going to destroy Robert Francis.
The good news for Texans that don't vote for Rafael... he rarely hangs around for votes and mostly runs for president...
The good news for a majority of Texans, who will speak loud and clear in this election, is that Ted Cruz will be sent back to Washington to represent Texas values. Robert Francis will not be representing anyone.
We'll see. The more votes Cruz gets the sadder the statement for the voters of Texas. So I hope that it is close.
We are just fine here in Texas. We will elect who we want and who represents our values. You are welcome to have Robert Francis out on the left coast once we reject him here in Texas if you like. He actually represents California values fairly well. Thankfully Texans are smarter than that.
To quote a real Texas song. Cruz who acted like he was tough when Trump called his Daddy a murderer and assassin in relation to Kennedy, and publicly insulted Ted's wife, but then started sucking up to Trump with his hat in hand doesn't represent any Texas values of which I'm aware. If that kind of weakness and cowardice are values you believe represent Texas then you might want to rethink. Making up lies about Beto banning bbq is the kind of weak sauce no Texan should have representing them. Beto showed Texas values by working his ass off on the campaign trail. He visited every single county in the state, maintained his independence by not taking any special interest money, and put forward the kind of work ethic that truly represents the great state of Texas.
You have to expect the Robert Francis O'Rouke fans to throw temper tantrums now that it's obvious that their boy has been rejected by Texas despite his "How do you do, fellow kids?" shtick and his far left ideology that so excited his fans.....but in no way reflected the values of Texans. The tantrum will only get worse the closer the election gets.
Trump totally ragged on Cruz in 2016 tweets. The idea that he now supports him is the biggest joke of all.
