There's things I like and I think he's going about it the right way so far. Sticking to small town hall style meetings and keeping things about what he can do vs. the evil he's up against.

That said, I am disappointed that one of the Castro's aren't running for this seat. I think one of them would've had a better chance. Doesn't appear either is running for governor either. Not sure what they're waiting for. Now is the time to strike.

I was on the Castro train after the convention speech in 2012, but have been underwhelmed by both twins the last few years. Nothing transcendent in their speeches or policy ideas. Run-of-the-mill politicians.

He's not a bad dude from what I can tell. He defeated a powerful longtime Hispanic Dem Rep in El Paso of all places (as a white guy), to get where he is.

My brother's in-laws have lived there forever, and they speak highly of him, for whatever that's worth.

Better than the zodiac killer so I'm supporting him. That said, he's against the tax bill which while I'm not a massive fan of I will always support tax cuts of any kind regardless of the proportions. Tax revenue is never the real issue, it's uncontrolled spending. Trillions in debt isn't because folks are getting to keep more of their money, it's because the government spends money like a drunken sailor. So Beto needs to stfu about the tax bill and talk about spending or he lose as soon as he's defeated the zodiac.

Yes. Unfair tax cuts are a look at my hand magic trick so folks argue about who's getting more or less. Meanwhile the trick they don't want us to see is the spending. Stop spending like a drunken sailor and then we can talk about tax cuts because I'm not financing my governments poor spending habits.
