I can understand why people want him benched...the dude looks flat out scared and indecisive at the plate. He should've checked the "does not handle pressure well" when filling out the application...

You don't bench the heart and soul of your team in Game 7 of the ALCS no matter how poorly he is hitting

    Ever

If Springers defense was marginal I would consider it.

Stealing balls and showboating before completing a catch but dummy on bat, MVP.

And, somehow your second ever post in the Astros forum out-douches your first one.

This year alone Springer has had a 2-25 stretch, a 3-23 stretch, and a 1-20 stretch prior to his 3-26 in the ALCS.

He's a streaky hitter, you don't panic when he's in one of his ugly stretches. He got a few good swings last night, a Springer nuclear stretch could always be just around the corner

That's what I am talking about, he could absolutely carry this team if he gets hot. We may not be able to afford him if he gets hot in the world series but I'll take it and wish him well with his big fat wallet and his world series ring.

Why do people act like players don't play two ways out there? Only player you can swap willy nilly is the DH.

Kindly delete your account OP, for the love of God and country. Springer is the best.

I think they just need to remind him it’s just baseball, that and he’s strong enough to hit homers, no need to hit em 450 ft they count the same.

I think it might help the whole team to kind of show out. Nothing flagrant but it might keep em loose enough to not be swept up by the moment. They were definitely deer in headlights for a game or two in NY

These Johnny-Come-Lately fans.... ATTENTION: THIS IS NOT YOUR ROTISSERIE BASEBALL TEAM. Stop making asinine managerial suggestions. The Astros have won 108 games this year; they are not going to light that on fire because of a few bad games.

Bench Springer.... isn't there some raging debate about the Texans' 53rd roster spot, or something?....

Baseball is a thinking man's game and your posts obviously show you are clueless.

Need to consider dropping him in the lineup. Dude is swinging wildly and looks so frustrated

I wish designated fielder was a position.

We really need something from George... he's been so bad and doesn't even look like he is seeing the ball.

I still wouldn't bench him but damn he needs to show up tomorrow

Abysmal. He just doesn’t even look like the same guy right now.
