...and regarding these allegations - if proven true, Baylor's football team fully deserves the death penalty. Disgusting.

    Over allegations?

Plus, the NCAA won't give out harsh penalties after the Penn State case. And FFS, they didn't even get a true death penalty.

Not defending anything here, especially not the horrific rape culture at Baylor, but the use of coed "hostesses" during recruiting is a time honored tradition just about everywhere. I've heard the first-hand accounts from both sides. Maybe this will shed some light on - and get schools to rethink the use of - this practice.

Yes. There should be severe punishment, much more so than having a head coach leave. 52 alleged cases. Multiple alleged gang rapes. Disgusting.
More embarrassing is the Waco contingent still pushing for Briles. Shameful

There won't be and it's debatable if Baylor hasn't been punished enough already. Projections have this costing the university over 300 MM. Cleaned house, onward and upward. The timing of the lawsuit right before the National Signing Day was on purpose. Baylor commits aren't having it and are not going anywhere else and we're still going to get some more strong commits before it is said and done. #Rhule

And here we see the rape culture in all it's glory. Pay some money, make it go away, all that matters is that the recruits are still coming and we have an awesome coach. All those people raped? Lives destroyed? No biggie - let's just put it behind us and move onward and upward!

If there is any validity to 52 counts of rape and gang rape; then there sure as hell will be severe penalties to Baylor. There will be no choice because the public outcry will be tremendous and rightfully so. The allegations are disgusting and deserve long term punishment. How you can brush off the allegations and make the statement that Baylor has already paid enough even after the new allegations is very disturbing.

I think Rhule was brought in to change the culture and I'm hoping the university has learned from its many mistakes.

I said it is debatable. They're allegations in a pending lawsuit. The fact is that two players have been convicted of rape. That's a large disconnect from 31.

You'll never find bigger hypocrites than Baylor fans. They're in a class by themselves.

1 of the I believe 6 different Title IX lawsuits.

Won't happen. They deserve the same punishment Penn State got (before the NCAA completely caved and rescinded most of them).

Also, it does please me that every time this despicable scandal is covered on TV, they show a picture of the stadium with Drayton McLane's name in big letters.

    Eh, whatevs.

The important thing is that Baylor could possibly end up with a top 25 recruiting class!

Baylor has a lot of ugliness around their sports program, for a school that loves to trumpet how Christians they are.

Their basketball program was mired in scandal. They only fired Bliss after one of his players killed another one, and the school could no longer turn a purposeful blind eye to the drug use, recruiting violations, payouts.

Their football program accepted a rape culture, animal abuse and the administration only did something after they had no choice.

It has been an ugly and unfortunate time at Baylor. It won't happen, but based on the track record and their inability to keep a clean athletic program, they deserve the death penalty.

No, the important thing would be why and how that could possibly happen after arguably the worst scandal in recent memory after Penn State.

The answer is because of Coach Rhule and the new staff are preaching something that's bigger than football itself. Gavin Holmes' dad said that he was choked up after listening to Coach Rhule speak. Coach Rhule is changing the culture and proving to be the perfect hire.

People bringing up the basketball scandal proves that it will never be enough for a lot of people. Let's just forget what Scott Drew has accomplished. You guys root for Calipari and Coach K that get 5 star recruit after 5 star recruit. I'll root for the underdog. Feels good to be #2 heading into February (20-1, 7-1) #sicem

It is impressive to have a decent recruiting class given all thats going on. But, 52?! 52!!! Recruiting doesnt even matter at this point. IF proven to be true in any capacity it wouldnt matter if they hired the pope to be the HC, there is a HUGE problem at Baylor and the hiring of a new coach is too little too late. Remember, the coaching change and new policies in effect werent in any way a proactive decision. Baylor had no other option and was so pathetically uncooperative and discrete in all their "investigations" that somehow 52 new allegations emerged. Again, IF its true its horrifying. Its despicable. I dont know if the death penalty is realistic using Penn State as a precedent, but the penalties need to be the harshest levied against a program since SMU. They need to replace every leader the institution has, because ignorance cannot be the excuse when literally they rapin' errybody out there.
