I annoy and go back and forth with enough people on here. I still wanna call out the last guy who claimed the Wiz are ‘afraid’ of Otto Porter staying.

But let’s not start whole new threads calling people out. Let’s keep this forum about Rockets and not about posters; and not cleverly disguise the title threads to make it seem like that’s the intention. If you don’t like what someone says, respond to where he said that. If you can’t remember where he said it, geez I don’t know, maybe let it go.

In the Bucks he wasn't a good defender. He wasn't like Reggie Jackson awful but his main problem in everything is Bball IQ. When the defence requires decision making like when to doubleteam how to defend the PNR then you can be sure Knight will make the wrong decision. On top of it he isn't very big so it's not like the other genius MCW who even though he is also bball stupid he has the physical tools to make up for it.
Now it's been some years since then but he had been seriously injured so who knows how he's physically.
IQ wise there's no hope.

When he started using burner accounts to bring himself attention. The ignore feature doesn't work if other accounts reference him. I'm going to start ignoring anyone that references him on the regular.

 

The question is, with Bzdelik's "switching" scheme defense, can that style hide some of the weaknesses of those players.

Stats speaking Brandon Knight hasn't had a positive impact defensively his entire career yet. Career avg on/off is -6.1, box bpm is -2.1. His most recent season before the injury was train wreck level debacle at -13.3 +/- on-court. On the positive side as has been stated the Rockets might be able to put BN into situations where he can be a lot more successful via shooting positions and defensive switching.

The good parts of BN's game is very specific so the Rockets will have to carefully calibrate to cover up some serious weaknesses.

 

Don't know enough about his game, but sure he'll be eager enough to improve his stock beyond the upcoming season.

Hopefully any BBall player who's been away from the game long enough would.

I haven't watched Brandon Knight play much, I saw him get obliterated by Deandre Jordon, but at the same time it showed me he was willing to compete defensively and so I can believe he is a good defensive player since competing is half the battle.

When it comes to defense thats what you want to see. A competitor. Someone that is giving effort to create stops.
