I do feel bad for Carmelo. He was so close to being on the team with the best record in the league. Now he's third option on a team not in the playoffs. Paul and HArden are celebrating at a strip club in houston and Melo is in OKC probably burning ants for fun.

 

I don't. He deserved it for being stupid throughout his career. Made NYK gut the team to trade for him and then couldn't carry the team, sulked with JLin tearing it up in NYC, signed a big contract with Phil Jax and then got into a big public spat. Finally, when the team was itching to trade him off to a team of his choosing, he could've waited it out and let the Knicks sweat but instead he got his ego hurt cos Morey wouldn't trade the team away to get him in a Rockets jersey fast enough. All that stupid hoodie Melo bullsyit got to his head and now he's scoffing off playing off the bench like he's some kind of sure-starter. I think dude really is lower than Lonzo Ball in the real life rankings.

 

Westbrook has serious issues, but Melo is killing that team. Bullet dodged for sure.

 

Carmelo cannot be your starting pf. Although I wanted him here I was always skeptical of him starting there.

He is not going to play with any kind of grit ever. Even as a stretch 4 you have to bang occasionally....

What the Thunder should do is either bench him or move him to the three and start Patterson.

Patterson could then just be a spot up shooter and do dirty work on defense.

Only reason I thought it might work here is because of Ariza, luc and tuck.

Let's see how long Melo continues to be 3rd or 4th option because they are winning. Don't think it will last long imo.

Maybe they will or won't figure it out, I think they will like I said. I will say this they'll be a tough out in the playoffs and no team will want them in the 1st round.

 

Thunder are gelling, Spurs are getting Kawhi back to optimal conditioning, GS continues to win even without Curry, Minny has won 5 in a row.

Not that losing streaks are ever good, but this is a particularly bad time for the Rockets to be on one.

 

Itd be worse if they got on a losing streak in the playoffs
