No BS pre deadline comments from the owner or GM about "fireworks" or promises or huge additions......... no fear of failure like a certain football team in Houston......... the Astros owner and GM just shut up and put up.
You know what this does for me? It makes me seethe even more over the years wasted by Uncle Drayton, stripping our farm system down to zero. This is why you have a good farm system, so you can gather the talent to either put it on the field or make deals that other teams are willing to make with you. I'm sure Bags and Biggio have been steaming a little over the last few years as well. This is why you make these deals, so you go all in, you don't waste the limited years these guys have. Kudos to Luhnow & Crane!
I had to make myself leave around 1, the anticipation was killing me. 3 hours in the 107 degree heat index later, and I came home to exactly what I wanted. I sincerely love Jeff Luhnow. Wow. ****ing Wow.
I watched Greinke pitch a few innings earlier today, he carved up a couple of their better hitters, Judge included.
Others have hit HRs, but we hit the biggest HR this trading deadline. For Greinke, I thought Tucker, or Yordan would no longer be Stros. We win arms race by couple moons.
He will be fun to watch...no doubt. But, I like Morton. He was a clutch reason we won the WS. I was shocked we just let him walk. Also, is Arizona paying for soda to stock our soda machines for a year at least? "I want our players paying for soda." ( - Billy Beane).
Zero. He'd be pitching on 3-days rest if not on Tuesday, that's definitely not happening. Rockies a solid team for him to make his debut against, he dominated them earlier this month.
