After this week, credit due. Looks like a team I don't expect to lose. The only thing stopping us is the drops. I give Applewhite props for self recognition that the offense needed help. And he stepped back. That's a good sign he's no control freak. Against these big boys the o and d line dominating, and that has been the weakness of the good UH teams of recent past. Basically Arizona throwing the white flag after the 1Q is amazing.

We should shut down every team the rest of the season...it will motivate college football conference officials to give an approval for uh to move to powerhouse conference. Shutting down and good offense will make people realize how scary UH cougars can be.

If UH receivers had caught those wide open bombs they probably would have got to the 73 points you predicted. Good call. Arizona on the other hand unless we let up on defense may be running out of time to get to the 13.

Does anyone else think that if the Cougars don't get it going again it is "possible" to lose this game? Three and out, three and out, three and out....and.... Arizona scoring on every series now.

Is it Sumlin calling plays or Bill Obrien?

First 2 games Houston has looked so so they should beat these 2 teams by a 40. IMHO 7 and 5 when they play better teams they are going to stink Applewhite sucks as a coach.

houston absolutely dominated this game. the only reason ariza scored was bc they benched their starters for an entire quarter. great game today. backups need to just play better when given the chance for extended periods

Arizona sucks and they still allowed them to score 18. Arizona is worse than Rice Houston should have been able to score 55 to 65 on them.

I would of liked to have had the shut out but at least we won convincingly. When Sumlin decided to leave their starting QB in after we were up 38-0 be should have broke him in half. Arizona looked better once we pulled our starting D out. Looking forward to next weeks win against Texas Tech.

so what. that's what happens when a team lets up and puts in backups. they give up more than what they normally would. all the b****ing your doing is meaningless

It was more populated before half time. The blow out score at half and the oppressive heat were factors. These 11AM start times are not the greatest either.

Nah homie Arizona is bad but not Rice bad. Rice needed a last second fg to beat PVU a couple weeks ago.

To add to this, tons of people were watching from inside the concession area. It was super hot out.
