Anyone else having trouble logging into chat tonight?

I know what it means, Im just unsure of why it is applied to you.

It means you are in some way violating a channel protection list, which makes no sense because the only list that should affect you prejoin is the "cuss words in nickname" list.

have you at anytime popped in to the room and said something that the bot would have detected as a cuss word? If so, it woudl have added your ip hostmask to the banlist. This is an automatic function of the channel protection script.

I had been distracted by work during the last couple games, so I forgot to clear the ban list from that game.

you gotta watch it...the script doesnt care who it is, it just reacts to words...and Im not always there to see what it does.

well, to be totally fair

that was a flaw in the script, and not a real cussword

IT was set to pick up variations on the f word, and it took the wildcard character that was only supposed to handle "f*ck", and set the ban when it saw "frack"

Id give my left arm to find a good irc coder.

every chan protect script has issues....surely it isnt *that* hard to write a good cuss script.

and i was frusterated that RA was benching him (this was a week ago or so)

thanks r2k- i promise never to speak again in a chat. it is just so useful in knowing when a game is back from time out or halftime.
