What facts do we know that nobody wants to talk about-

The Fact that the Russians also hacked the RNC but DID NOT release their emails. You'd be a fool to think that the Russians aren't also working other members of the GOP.

I don't know the truth of it, but others certainly believe it. (The congressman said after he got caught that he was joking at the time; but you know how so many jokes have that kernel of truth to them, in this case, "true what the guy actually believes".)

The odor of corruption continues to emanate from Republican Rep. Rohrabacher of California, joining the awful smells coming from the White House, the Kremlin, and the GOP congress. Good finds, NewRoxFan. As I've said before, you're the "J.R." of D&D, and I definitely mean that as a compliment.

Strange how none of these "scandals" ever amount to anything...methinks the Dems will need to address real issues if they ever want to win again...just a thought. Most Americans are getting tired of this "muh Russia" bullshit.

Documents Reveal Successful Cyberattack in California Congressional Race

The FBI investigated hacking attempts targeting a Democrat opponent of Dana Rohrabacher

FBI agents in California and Washington, D.C., have investigated a series of cyberattacks over the past year that targeted a Democratic opponent of Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA). Rohrabacher is a 15-term incumbent who is widely seen as the most pro-Russia and pro-Putin member of Congress and is a staunch supporter of President Trump.

The hacking attempts and the FBI’s involvement are described in dozens of emails and forensic records obtained by Rolling Stone.

The target of these attacks, Dr. Hans Keirstead, a stem-cell scientist and the CEO of a biomedical research company, finished third in California’s nonpartisan “top-two” primary on June 5th, falling 125 votes short of advancing to the general election in one of the narrowest margins of any congressional primary this year. He has since endorsed Harley Rouda, the Democrat who finished in second place and will face Rohrabacher in the November election.

The timing of the attacks is significant. Last month, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said the warning lights for future cyberattacks aimed at the U.S. were “blinking red.” A week later, a senior Microsoft executive said that Microsoft had identified and helped block hacking attempts aimed at three congressional candidates during the 2018 midterms. The executive declined to name those candidates, but the Daily Beastreported that the Russian intelligence agency responsible for the cyberattacks in 2016 had attempted to hack the office of Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), who is running for reelection this year. (A Microsoft spokesperson declined to say if Keirstead was one of three people targeted by hackers, citing “customer privacy.”) Just last week, Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) said that Russian hackers had “penetrated” county voting systems in Florida.

Ed McAndrew, a former federal cybercrime prosecutor who now leads the privacy and data security group at the law firm Ballard Spahr, tells Rolling Stone that the FBI’s request for information suggested the bureau was taking the attacks on the Keirstead campaign seriously. “That’s fairly comprehensive in terms of an initial list of things you would want if you were looking to investigate unauthorized access to a web server,” McAndrew says. “They weren’t short-arming; those were real requests.”

Awaiting the deafening GOP outcry against this election interference. I guess as long as ACORN1!!!1! isn't involved, we'll be just fine.

ACORN was horrible but not nearly as bad as couple of black non-Obama supporters standing outside of a polling place on election day. That was the worst. Of course the black AG for Obama didn't pursue that matter.

If/When they get control of the House, Democrats need to hold public hearings on all these matters (Russia, corruption, obstruction of justice, Trump taxes, etc.) and release as much information as possible to the public.

Transparency is gonna be key if we want to get back to relative political sanity and recover from what Trump and the RNC are doing to our democracy.

Why withhold them? What are they afraid of? That we, the public, can't handle the truth? Let the public decide that, not you, who's only interest is to keep the interference of the Russians in our election process a secret. Why keep it a secret? Republican corruption, aided and abetted by Russian intelligence under orders from Vladimir Putin. That's why.

I don't recognize this Republican Party. They have transformed themselves into an attack machine taking aim at our political system, our government institutions, our American traditions, NATO and our friends and allies. The Republican Party under trump is assaulting the system of international trade and security that has kept the world from another World War for over 70 years, an international system led by the United States since World War II, a war my father and uncles fought in, as did many of your own relatives, Republicans, your grandparents and great-uncles and cousins.

It is those relatives you are betraying by supporting Republican corruption and supporting Russian attacks on our democratic system. You should be ashamed of yourselves and your willingness to trash our democracy in the interest of your shell of a political party, the soul of which died with Senator John McCain. May he Rest In Peace.

    In my humble opinion.
