Meanwhile, the national republican association, oops, nra chooses now as a time to fight with doctors speaking out against gun crimes (and the nra)...

NRA needs to stay in their lane and out of medicine. But now that this is happening, wonder when will the hard core 2nd amendment folks become internet medical experts ?

We need to bring our troops home. It’s obvious that we need Armed guards at nearly every business in the country, and our police force isn’t large enough.

    America has stupid gun laws.

    This is common sense.

    RIP to the victims.

Rejection of doctors and modern medicine sounds like an amazing new awesome twist for the MAGA movement.

It's a good way to neutralize health care as a political issue.

That doctor should quit complaining. They already have armed guards at emergency rooms.

I’m a little uncomfortable going to my primary care doctor though. No armed guards there.

What gun law are you advocating that would of prevented this?

California is considered to have the strongest gun laws in the country btw.

No, we shouldn't look at any possible solutions, much better to simply do nothing but offer thoughts and prayers. And maybe arming bouncers and first responders...

    strawman destroyed.

Also, arguing doing anything is always better than doing nothing defies all rational logic. Which is what you just argued above.

Just responding in same manner as trump/nra supporters... its always all or nothing, no middle ground, no compromise.

The guy was a legal gun owner and he had a handgun. Unless you want to take away all guns then I don't know how you would have stopped this.

Since you added the second part... I'll add the following. Numerous times I have suggested real solutions to the gun problem... from expanded background searches (longer, more comprehensive, including psychological), longer waiting periods, better sharing of information between local and national databases, limits on the number of guns purchased, limits on the types of ammo sold, limits on the size of magazines sold, limits on the types of weapons sold.

None of these prevent people from being able to purchases guns so none violate constitutional rights. All deserve careful consideration and I believe implementation.

Its the trump/nra people that shoot down (no pun intended) any possible solution. Hence... the argument: "No, we shouldn't look at any possible solutions, much better to simply do nothing but offer thoughts and prayers.
