Does having a fantasy draft before I start a Dynasty on NBA Live (because I don't like playing with the real Rockets) make me a bad fan? The only Rocket I make sure I have on my team is Yao, but at least it's the Rockets, right? I'm not playing with the Knicks, Lakers or Jazz, I still stick to my team, just not most of the players. Don't even like playing with T-Mac, I guess all the years of thinking he was the 6'8" Stephon Marbury have something to do with that. This is what I did... I started off with the #1 pick and I took Lebron James (I edit him up to a 98 ), then I kept reseting it until an 86 rated Yao Ming is left in the second round. That took FOREVER he usually gets taken in the top 10 even though he's only an 86, but it happened eventually, that gets me the 2004 edition of Magic and Kareem. In the third round I got a 78 PG, Mike Bibby, wanted Sam Cassell but he was gone even though he's rated lower. After that I took Dwight Howard, who I had edited to be a rebounding, shot blocking, defending monster without much of an offensive game, perfect for Yao he's rated a 76. Anyway, I ended up with a starting lineup of... PG - Mike Bibby SG - Lebron James SF - Luol Deng PF - Dwight Howard C - Yao Ming And a bench of... Vladimir Radmonovich, Kyle Korver, Tyson Chandler, Troy Murphy, Shaun Livingston, Darko Milicik, and Josh Smith. I have to say it's around 10 times more fun to play with that team than it is to play with the real Rockets, hopefully I'm not the only NBA Live player who feels the same.
oh man! at least take Tmac...... everyone else can go. altho i t is way too easy to score with mo. and sura is too slow in that game.
I tried really hard to play with McGrady, but I got a man-crush on Lebron James right now... The ratings are all screwed up I spent a couple of hours fixing players before I started a dynasty, my fantasy Rocket's team is 9-2 right now, rated a 99 overall.
I'm just playin my Dynasty mode with the Magic. I haven't gotten very far in it because of Finals/Christmas stuff, but i'm 8-2 so far on Superstar setting. Anyway, nice team Jumpman You managed to get 3 straight #1 picks!
I was wondering the same thing Jumpman, but after thinking about it there is few on the Rockets that are deserving of playing for them. When it comes to Live, it is a way for you to do what you want the Rockets to do in real life. So don't feel bad if the rosters dont match, you are doing what you think is best for the Rockets. Also I'm sure Juwan Howard and company can't play as well as they do in the game so it is not like your being like the real life Rockets. When the Rockets finally make a trade, there is no guarantee that you can make the same trade in the game. My advice is not to worry about and enjoy the real life Rockets and your NBA Live Rockets.
