    If the above is true I expect to see a debate between the discipline with hugs and kisses crowd and corporal punishment crowd.

    I guess my mother was a career criminal. She didn't use a switch. She would make me take off the belt I was wearing and hand it to her.

    When I moved to Texas and heard this talk of a "switch", I laughed.

    Like wise. Moms used hit me with the wooden spoon. If I was being irritating it was a flip flop. When I was especially bad it was having me go out and finding a switch.
