Jazz have figured out how to defend us, and we’ve been outplayed 2 straight games now. Not scared, but they better close it out in Game 5, because if not...yikes.
If they come out with intensity, they are favoured to win more than 75% of the time, especially at home. The problem tonight vs other nights was lack of intensity to start the game and being passive, which led to defensive lapses and turnovers. The Jazz took advantage of it and Rockets were playing catch-up the rest of the way.
Yeah, I don't think foul-machine, brick-machine Shumpert was the answer when the refs were calling every micro-contact on the Jazz end, unfortunately.
I guess I just can't understand how players can't manage to match another team's will to compete. For me it's just a pride thing. It's a curse, I guess. This is why I've loved what Chris Paul has brought to this team, though.
You want to put him out there because of what he has done for the other teams in the past? Because he has been utter garbage for the Rockets, which is why he is not even sniffing the court.
Not surprised about the role players. Can't say I trust 'em. At all. Nope. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/poll-your-biggest-concern-for-the-playoff-success.297679
jazz are getting away with physical defense and we are being called for touch fouls. ken mauer reffed game 3 and tony brothers reffed game 4
I'm sort of pissed though. CP3 would have had 3-5 days of rest if we won tonight which I think is very important.
This is what gets me the most. I wanted extra rest for the Rockets. If Warriors close out in game 5, which they should, they will get at least 1 day extra rest. Klay did not even make a secret of how important that is. They came out with urgency and got the job done. We did not.
This is true. When you get a crowd going like that, officials will less likely to step in and call fouls.
Well, would you say this is garbage? PPG: 6 RPG: 3.8 APG: 0.3 FG%: 28.6% 3PT%: 20.8% You know whose numbers those are after 4 playoff games. . . . Shumpert could do better than that in 23 minutes.
That's the thing. I dont think he can lol. His saving grace is defense and he has looked bad on that end as well.
I'm not worried. It looked like it was going to end up like game 3 until Mitchell went off in the 4th after looking like crap for most of the game and woke up that hostile crowd.
If this game was reffed fairly we would be going into the fourth with a 7-10 point lead. If capela isn’t sick and gets the rebounds/lobs/putbacks he normally does we are up 15-20. He left so many points on the board and caused so many turnovers, I feel bad for the guy. As long as he’s not sick we have nothing to worry about.
The 3 is a high variance shot. When you rely on it so heavily with no exist strategy when it isn’t falling you’re are going to get peaks and valleys
What scares me is that Capela suddenly looked like a washed Roy Hibbert as quickly as All-Star Roy Hibbert turned into Washed Roy Hibbert. Just hope it is the stomach bug that got him... if not... hoping Hartenstein can turn into this year's Troy Daniels.
