Well, the draft won't be for another 5 months but we have a mock from Baseball America. Consider this OP as being under construction.

Wishlist based on need, knowing nothing about who the best available players are:

    Round:
    1: HS OF
    2: College corner infield bat
    2a: College LHP
    3: College corner infield bat
    4-40: BPA, focus on upside

Their pitching depth is insane and the international pipeline has it looking like there won’t be many specific needs to fill out the short season rosters.

Notable Guys likely to be in EST ready to be assigned to short season rosters:

C: Perry, Rodriguez, Paulino, Alvarez, Campos, Hurtado
IF: Carrasco, Nova, Perez, Castillo, Mascai, Cueta, Mendoza
OF: Abreu, Santana, Ramirez, Pinto, Carrillo
P: Schroeder, Macuare, Ramirez, Jaquez, Rodriguez, Tokar, Torres, Lopez, Robaina, Jimenez, Oberto, Chavez

Would you say that Busch is a Beer Lite, or is Beer more of a Busch Lite?

Would love to get Matt Thompson from Cy Ranch, but he's rated as the top RHP from Texas and will likely go in the 15-25 range. Jack Leiter (Al's son) might be another one to keep an eye on if he grows an inch or two. Can really spin the ball from what I've read.

Won’t they get a comp pick regardless of when Keuchel signs? That would raise their pool to ~$6.1M and rank 24th.

This is another event mlb has just dropped the marketing ball on. Yes, they have a lot of work to do to bring the noise level up, especially with the ncaa, but all the other leagues had similar work to do as well. Put a coalition together and build the noise. There is money to be made.

They're trying, but there's just not the same impact of a MLB draftee as any of the other sports. Hard to care about the draft when the quickest promoted guys might make it up the following season.

Would be happy with either of those guys (Hoese or Shewmake). Would also like Logan Davidson if he’s still available.

Shewmake would be my pick because he bats lefty (could use a little more balance in our IF), and he plays SS and not 3B (which should mean more versatility). Really like him. But either would be great, of course.

BPA available all the way! Spencer Jones intrigues the s*** out of me! 6'7" outfielder/first baseman, projects to have 65-70 raw power but if he fills out, I see a future 80 on the power tool even in game, projects to be an average hitter, above average runner. If he wasn't hurt, probably would be in the running for our pick. Also pitches too so could have that as a fallback option or play both ways in pro-ball. Also intrigued by the pure stuff of Daniel Espino and Jackson Rutledge but Espino's arm action is a red flag and Rutledge projects to have below average command as we stand. I'd probably still roll the dice of Rutledge though as he has similarities to Nate Pearson.
