Not Nook, but his call-up likely happens when the Astros are able to trade someone or someone gets hurt. Earliest would be tomorrow, but more likely a couple months.

    How did Nolan Fontana do?

Also, how is Ritchie behind the plate?

He's always been an above average hit tool guy though. Not worried about 50 ABs.

That is an "an above average hit tool"

They have asked him to tweak his swing.

Will it work? Nobody knows yet.

Anyone who uses the term "hit tool" who is not an acutal scout...ok then...

    I’m not a professional scout

But anyone who watched Tucker in his mlb debut, and then sees the numbers he has put up so far, in a very limited sample size...and isn’t at least a little worried....probably isn’t being realistic

R.J. Freure allowed a hit, walked two, and struck out nine over 3.2 scoreless innings of relief for Quad Cities.

Enoli Paredes allowed a run on a solo homer, two other hits, walked two, and struck out nine in four innings in Fayetteville.

The amount of additional worry should be minimal over that normally of a prospect of his stature. Typically, recency bias causes people to worry too much about slumps or get too excited about hot streaks.

Seth Beer hit his second homer of the season (solo) in Fayetteville's 7-5 loss to Carolina.

This was the Woodpeckers' first-ever game at their new home, Segra Stadium.

I want him to make it, if for no other reason I want an Astros Jersey with Beer on it

I had forgotten about this, but was reminded today: AAA is now using the same baseballs that MLB does. They're tighter and travel farther, so everyone expects even more offense than usual in the PCL this year. Adjust your expectations accordingly. There's a couple of articles on BA about it, I stopped subscribing a year or so ago or else I'd post them.

Why aren't the numbers he put up when he went back to AAA last season just as relevant?

Have the scouting reports caught on to the loop and drag in his swing?

So uh... Quad Cities got no-hit tonight.

Meanwhile, Corpus had to fend off a 9th-inning rally from Amarillo to hang on to an 8-7 win. Chas McCormick went 2-3 with a two-run homer, his first home run this season. Today was also McCormick's birthday; he's now 24.
