Really hope it's not too serious. Such a great player.

On the positive side, Davies looks better and better.

He'll miss only the three games until winter break. Huge relief.

Jeremy Lin found time to score an impressive goal in the Premier League while playing in the CBA?

Coutinho is a total dud. I wouldn't pay 10M for him.

3 goals and 2 assists, unreal.
Let's hope he keeps this up.

    Agreed.

Next target for Cou are Manchester United, Chelsea........ he flushed the years in Liverpool down the toilet with the Barca move.

Funnily Barca regretted the move themselves.

LONDON—China’s main state broadcaster, CCTV, abruptly pulled an English Premier League game involving Arsenal from its airwaves on Sunday, putting Beijing in conflict with a second major global sports league.

Arsenal played defending champion Manchester City in the marquee matchup of the weekend, two days after club star Mesut Özil criticized China’s internment of ethnic-minority Muslims. Instead, CCTV chose to air a tape-delayed broadcast of Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Arsenal game also appeared to have been pulled from the other two ways that Chinese viewers could watch the match—the online streaming services PPTV Sports and Migu Sports. Arsenal declined to comment.

The blocking of the Arsenal match from Chinese airwaves follows a similar reaction to an October tweet by Daryl Morey, general manager of the National Basketball Association’s Houston Rockets, who expressed support for antigovernment protesters in Hong Kong. Though the tweet was quickly deleted, Rockets games remain blacked out in China two months later.

would be cool if all major sports or at least the big 4-5 teams of every league collectively says china sucks. then her people would be stuck watching ping pong and badminton all day, every day.

i would say the same for teh pr0n stars, but i heard pr0n is a srs crime punishable by hanging there.

My picks in bold, except for Real-City there's a pretty clear favourite in every matchup.

Leipzig have been stellar in Bundesliga recently, but I never trust German teams (except for Bayern) in international competitions.

a little nervous for liverpool, but can we talk about the marquee match up already? atalanta vs valencia, i mean it's unfortunate one of these 2 giants won't make it past the 16.

It's tough to make predictions of this now, but...

    Dortmund vs PSG
    Real Madrid
    vs City
    Atalanta vs Valencia
    Atlético vs Liverpool
    Chelsea vs Bayern
    Lyon vs Juventus
    Tottenham
    vs Leipzig
    Napoli vs Barcelona

More interesting is Wednesday's game. I don't remember Barcelona ever being this disorganized overall and this slow in the midfield, but their front three is still deadly and the best in the world. Madrid is the team playing better overall and should win.
