You may be right, but if he is graded NO LOWER than a 3rd rounder and he went undrafted, you would rather blame the Texans for not taking a chance due to their "policy" rather than trust them as one of the 31 teams that saw more than we did wrong with him? Hell, maybe it is way worse than just pot.. THIRTY ONE TEAMS said "eff that 3rd rounder, I'm not drafting him" but we are the stupid ones? Johnny Manziel was talented too..
The fact that he went undrafted certainly leans in that direction. Not saying that they're always right, but it tells you that no team thought he was worth a draft pick.
I'm sorry to repeat, but it was a lot more than just smoking. I've seen several stories indicating teams were concerned about his work ethic and general interest in football.

I read that his dream was to be a US Marshall. He probably realized pretty quickly that he was over matched and his real dream was more attainable.
