This. It's all about his mechanics and repetition.

Kate Upton is a perfect match. All you need is a handful.

MLBTR says 15 to 20 teams sent representatives to watch Tim Lincecum work out. I wonder if the Astros were one of them. His fastball was peaking around 93. Would Strom want him as a reclamation project who could spend the first half of the season in Fresno?

My guess is if he looks interesting, he'll get an MLB gig or at least a minor league gig on a team without a stacked pen.

So basically, Giles is keeping all the rat butts for himself.

Giles needs to do his talking with his arm and leaving the attitude at the door. Dude is getting paid millions and he ****ing sucked. Instead of saying he doesn't care how about saying he is doing his best to fix it. Jesus **** he is a whiny little b****.

Playoffs don't last 162 games. We're talking 6 weeks, not 6 months. Can guys do that kind of workload for that long?

Why shouldn't they be able too keep this up over the course of a 162 game season? These are on any team in baseball, other than the Astros, starting pitchers who would presumably be expected to go out and pitch 6 innings every 5 days. So now we are talking about them pitching 4 or so innings every 5 or so days, coming in in relief.

Again, I do not understand why the presumed endurance of a starting pitcher coming in as an early reliever is automatically reduced from 6 innings, down to 1-2. That does not appear to be right to me.

The Spring Training jerseys should be our regular jerseys. I love the white font on the back.

If McCullers and Morton are relieving, they aren't starting. Without playoff rest day schedule, 5 starters are needed instead of 3.5. There is no reason Peacock couldn't be used in relief as a tandem starter except they may want to use him in important situations instead of a predetermined schedule. I expect Astros to try to develop guys that go 2-3 innings, but are used less often.

Disagree. Love the attitude. That's who he is as a player. If he changes his attitude at all, then he's sunk as an MLB player. He thrives off of it, for better or worse. And you know what, Giles is in the right. He's putting his struggles behind him, like every single elite pitcher in last year's playoffs. Juiced balls or whatever, the entire league struggled to pitch in the postseason. His playoff performance is not some random outlier. Hell, we lit up Kenley freakin' Jensen.Giles has had a ton of success in the majors, and there's no reason to think he can't repeat that success in 2018 and beyond.

If you're going to complain about how much MLB players make, then I'd suggest taking up NFL and their non-guaranteed contracts. Giles is worth what he's worth, and I guarantee any other MLB team trying to win in 2018 would pay Giles' salary to have him.
