Patrick really wanted to show up the young player. And I have to give Ball credit: first professional game that counts is tough enough. Plus he seems to carry himself fairly well. (His dad needs to STFU but you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.)

Funny. When Bev is on your team you love him. When he's not? You see what a punk he can be. Don't get me wrong: I'd love it if he were still here, playing behind and alongside CP3 and Harden; but he'd make too much trouble.

I still loved watching him play. Just won't love him against us. It sucks because I don't think lonzo talked any trash but his dad did. I found myself thinking lonzo was a punk when actually nothing cocky has come out of his mouth. His dad should shut up. People have this angle where they say "lavar is just being a proud father". Meh I dunno he seems to be making the road a little tougher on his son.

Right. The dad/doucher doesn't get it. It's like I'm watching an "I keep it REAL!" segment on "Chapelle's Show". All the dad/doucher is doing is making life tougher on the kid, who has enough to deal with without, "Beverly only makes such-and-so money", "He ain't got his own shoe," muddying up his image.

Hopefully the media stops putting a microphone in his face. It's not any of my business how the ball family is structured but lonzo is getting thrown to the wolves out there.

Making trouble? Trash talk is a part of basketball. We should be HAPPY guys like Bev play with a extra level of intensity. See 80's/90's basketball

But such behavior is very bad for a rookie's game. Great job Bev!

Pat Beverly usually gets hurt and misses a hugh part of the season. I've seen players light him up. He is pesky
but his defense is nothing that can't be overcome. He has made a name for himself that's all.

Every great defender gets lit up, EVERY one of them. He's still the best defensive guard in the NBA

it's happening. The Q-rating is up so Pat's defensive rating goes up. As Pat's popularity increases, the more overrated his defense will become. Pat about to be defensive player of the year!

    FIRST TEAM!!

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Suns are targeting Patrick Beverley of the Clippers. Shams added that Beverley is on the top of their list because they believe he'll be an ideal fit next to Devin Booker. For now, Los Angeles' asking price is a major roadblock, as they are looking for a first-round pick and the Suns are only willing to part with second rounders.
