Rummenigge saying Heynckes wanted to bring back Sanches last December and help him, but UEFA rules didn't allow it. Stupid system, why wouldn't you allow for that if both clubs agree?

French coach has been making mind-boggling personnel decisions for a while, it's baffling.

TBF to Deschamps, it's not like Martial had a great season or just absolutely showed he deserved to be in the squad. Plus, the French do have a ton of quality players to call on. I'd be more upset if Martial were English and Southgate left him out.

France have Martial, Lacazette and Sissoko on standby

England have Lewis Cook, Jake Livermore and Adam Lallana.

The Martial thing doesn't bother me, my statement was more about his decisions in general.
Remember how for the last Euro, he didn't bring in Lacazette, Rabiot, ben Arfa, Gameiro, Diarra? Weird decisions that many fans questioned.

I was never a fan of Götze or Schürrle but do you have a closer off the bench this time?

    They scored when nobody scored.

Depends on who Löw will ultimately cut in a few weeks, but on the camp roster you've got Petersen who scored a lot of goals as a joker for Freiburg and a natural scorer in Gomez. Sané and/or Draxler probably won't start, so there are several options. Nothing to worry here.

What's the point of VAR if the ref can overlook facts and decide to live in fantasy land? Fckin joke of a decision, that foul was so obvious.

there it is... the first victim of a line of arsenal bosses that will be sacked within the first couple of years because of not living up to wenger's status.

Farewell, Gigi Buffon! Legendary One! Arrivederci. (Not Overall Retirement) (Ravanelli looks top thin)

Can someone tell me why Iniesta is leaving? he's only 34, game doesn't rely on athleticism. He could have had a couple good seasons left at least.

Vissel Kobe is the new Powerhouse but can't even get close to the Champions League, what a waste of Kirby beef.

BBC saying Emery will be presented as new Arsenal coach this week, impressed Arsenal front office more than Arteta.

Lucien Favre to Dortmund official. Good thing for them if he's ordered to form a new, young team. Helped Hertha and Gladbach a lot in his first years there. Not sure if he's a fit character-wise though, maybe that's why they negotiated only a two year contract.

Seems a bit like clubs have realized how short average coaching spans have become and now prefer 2yr deals, seen it several times in the past weeks.

Makes sense, clubs seem to waste a lot of their payroll for coaches that have been let go already.
