i love Scola. Think he had a real slow transition from Adelman's system to what McHale is doing, but i still think he's one of the best post players in the game. He's also a great teammate and one of the few who actually wants to be in Houston. Yes, he's probably a little overpaid, but he's not a net negative on our team. A strong second half and a good playoff series will remind people that he's a quality 4.

I can't imagine what this team would look like without Scola as a threat in the post. Most teams don't have a skilled post player like him, he doesn't get enough credit.

Well said! One thing Luis has been doing is getting the offense off to a fast start, something he has a habit of, and why they sometimes go away from him when he starts a game like he did tonight is a mystery to me. Don't have that complaint tonight, though. What did he have in the 1st? 10 points? And he had at least 5 dimes at the half, ending the game with seven freakin' assists! Amazing. The "Old Man," who's always given an age by many on the board that's a year older than he really is, keeps improving his game. And he finally seems more comfortable with what McHale's trying to do.

Far out! Two great wins in a row, and Luis doin' his thing again. :-D-

Maybe Luis was just tired at the beginning of the season from playing FIBA ball

He has adjusted back to normal form now I think

Not when he's draining jumper's in Pau's face. Lakers can keep soft trash.

I really like Scola. First of all, he missed only 8 games in his whole 5 years Rocket career. The iron man.

Yeah too bad everyone killed him right before the trade deadline right? Now they just sound stupid. Of course it works out for the Rockets that he played so well lately. Not on his way down like so many dumb posters tried to kill him with.

I still want to move him. I stand firmly by that. If you can get a lotto-protected pick out of scola, you do it. That contract is still pretty bad.

Trading him was fine. It was the part where more than half the posters tried to say he was declining and getting older prematurely. Totally killed anything these idiots could have hoped to get for him. Instead of just seeing it for what it was. Which was a lull in a strike shortened season. They decided the guy they wanted to trade needed to be completely worthless instead was the smart way to go.

Hard to argue this point. Definitely looking like he was just recovering and getting that knee stronger.

He was obviously tanking his value so it would be difficult to trade him. Now that he's locked in Houston he can go out and compete again.

Has his defense improved? His Rebounding? He has always been able to score..Rockets fan know that.

Scola gives up more points than Kmart...

I went to the Clippers game days ago.

What surprised me about Scola is how much coaching on the floor he does with the players. Actually being a proactive captain type instead of just a listener.

I think after the players only meeting, he took the challenge to do more

For some reason Scola has a reputation around the league as a solid high-effort defensive player.

If he keeps this going, I will take back everything I said about him.
