UCONN was also in danger of not having any marquee match-ups on their schedule after deciding to go independent in football this year. There was a good possibility that they were going to lose their big money, bodybag games against Virginia and North Carolina which would leave them with basically an FCS Schedule as they had already lost games against Illinois and Indiana. My guess is, since they play at a stadium that they don't own, that they shut down to save money. Really bad timing for them as they just left the American and need those bodybag games. My guess is that when they return, if they return, they might just go back to FCS and join many of their Big Easy bretheren.

Multiple sources said early Monday morning that presidents voted 12-2 to end the season, though the Big Ten said Monday afternoon no official vote had taken place. Dan Patrick, who first reported the 12-2 vote, said on his radio show that Iowa and Nebraska were the two schools in favor or playing. more at the link
Yep, PAC-12 is likely to follow as well. MWC also shut it down. However, it looks like the ACC, SEC, Big12 and Sun Belt are moving forward. CUSA and AAC are still contemplating their futures, but my guess is they play. Also word that the B1G teams that want to play, may join other conferences next year. Strange times.
