Josh Smith recounts Rockets epic comeback vs. Clippers

This was my favorite post 2010 rockets team run in the post season.

Dwight Howard came back from injury in 2015 Golden State series to average double digits rebounds if not mistaken.

Harden is at his worse when the Rockets are down big in big games. He’s not a fight until the clock sounds guy.

says he believes McHale got fired for benching Harden... 'Mgmt' wanted McHale to reinsert Harden during the comeback and he blew em off...

 

yup, Harden plays really terribly when the game isn't within grasp. Actually it's more like Harden decides that the game is over in his head, he will straight up stop playing.

Some games you can tell when the frustration builds slowly, and he plays worse and worse until at some point he just gives up completely.

 

I get the joke but Smoove said he knew Dwight in pre-school

How so? A selfish guy that refuses to be coached is always a recipe for disaster.

 

Got a point but McHale shouldn't be a coach or GM to begin with.

Really nice guy with knowledge of the game but he just seems like a lenient character when interacting with others.

Like a HOF big breh to have a laugh with narrating Celtics history.

Or specifically a big men coach practicing post ups.

Whereas MDA is an innovator, genius on O, much better than he is directing from the sidelines, a good coach.

 

I hope Harden...sigh...I don’t care anymore.

McHale played briefly for the rockets organization.

 

There was a lot of mchale haters here as smith says "hall of famer"

We always go on about not getting respect in houston and then someone like mchale comes to town and we disrespect and shi**thouse him the whole time.

Besides the kiss of death, the sweeping of Orlando, beating the Knicks in finals, ming against lakers hobbling off, and eddy at tne buzzer this game with smith is a nice rocket memory.

McHale's after timeout plays were high school level. D'Antoni after timeout plays are genius comparably.

 

Conveniently forgotten.

But loved that game from Smoov and Brewer.

Amazing game. I made the decision to stand with our team until the end and it paid off.

Big Harden supporter, but it's impossible not to think about this game and doubt. At the moment I was super critic of his bench attitude too. Great memories.
